I am looking to buy a Garmin Quest GPS I with all the accessories that comes with it when it is new. It does not have to be new, just in good working order. I can pay about $100-MAYBE $200 and I need it quick...any ideas? Thanks!

How often do you visit South Padre Island? Can you maintain a cache there, and prove to the local reviewer that you can? If not, you'd be better off spending your time finding caches while there, and leave the cache hiding to the locals. "Vacation caches" won't be listed on this site. EDIT: Could a mod merge this with his identical post, also in this forum? I go once per year, but have relatives that will help me out with maintainence.....thanks for the advise!!!!

I am getting ready to go on a trip to South Padre Island and I am new to caching.....I am wanting to put a cache somewhere on the island back in the dunes.....first....does anyone know of any laws prohibiting hiding a cache in the dunes? Secondly, I would welcome any hiding suggestions in the dunes as I don't want muggles to find it nor do I want someone to think it is a "wash up" from the ocean. Third, I had planned on putting a FTF Where's George prize, a altoids beach geocoin, a bandycam with a picture mission and a travel bug in it for starters....any other ideas or helpful suggestions on the above contents would be GREAT! Thanks a MILLION ahead of time!

Thanks, guys....sounds like the WG people have a definition problem....kinda like our past president or the problem society has with defining "normal"....haha Natural circulation is anything that someone does with their money...it is THEIR business when in THEIR posession....that is NATURAL....and geocaching is the most natural thing around.....LOVE IT! lol

I am new to caching, but I am already addicted! I am getting ready to go to South Padre Island on vacation and wanting to set up a cache somewhere on South Padre Island beach. I am wanting to put a travel bug with camera and a "beach themed" geocoin in it....does anyone have any suggestions or one for sale that I could buy fairly quickly? I am new to caching and really like it. It gives me an INEXPENSIVE excuse to get up out of the house and take my kiddos on a REAL treasure hunt. My question is this....are most of the cache set up as a log in only or is there very many that allow you to "take and leave"? The kiddos like the "take and leave" option. Thanks for the help!
