  1. I am trying to set up my first cache. I have submitted to required form and now am being asked to mark my waypoints. It seems to me that I am repeating the info I have put on the cache page but adding a code name to the points. It is a multicache (2 parts) and I have already put the co-ordinates in for the final cache for the reviewer to see. Have I missed the point of this? Do I have to do the wayponts?
  2. Just bought some on e-buy today. £1.20 ish depending on size and 45p postage, even if you buy several.
  3. sounds too familiar.....the object is to hide the box.....then send someone else to find it who complains when they can't!
  4. Been thinking about this loads today. I am gonna link my geo-post box with a letterbox hybrid....how cool is that!?
  5. I can't wait for this page to end as I hate opening the topic to see myself and Jabba staring back at me. get on with it please !
  6. I am definately up for this. I love novelty post cards so am going to set one up with a selection to choose. It is even going to be near my local Post Office which is a great place as it never has any queues. Thank you for this idea, well spotted. Small problem: never met any other cachers in the flesh......how do I know who to send one to and where?
  7. A stamp that looks like a pair of pants!! you are probably better off designing your own, unless that's your thing http://www.userfriendly-devon.com/shops/st...mp;productId=55 .....no seroiusly, all the others look great and good price for making your own designs up. If I made my own with a rubber and a craft knofe the first ink pad would end up being my blood, I am far too clumsy to try this.
  8. Collecting them in tupperware already filled with leaves and seeing how long they lived for !!
  9. Not sure who to DING! Yes you both have it. The example I was thinking of is the way the sink plug 'bounces' off the stream of water from the tap as it dangles alongside while you clean your teeth, although we all now turn the tap off while scrubbing. We use the coanda effect as a method of supporting ventilation in premeture and brain damaged babies at work but that gets even more complex. You now have the entirity of my physics knowledge contained on one topic! Glad you had a sleepless night J &BF, I did too but thats coz that baby has forgotten how to sleep properly!
  10. Don't get me wrong, I am no physisist (sp?) this is somthing I have learnt about through work.....see profile. The everyday example you might witness twice a day while cleaning your teeth but for those with a water shortage you should not see it at all. Not too cryptic I hope
  11. Lets stick with the physics. It makes me feel clever. What is the coanda effect and give an example from everyday life?
  12. I get the jist of it but what does PDA stand for? Stupid Cupid
  13. Ah ha one for me. My physics teacher loved this. It is something to do with stuff turning into spaghetti shape stretched out forms to enter a black hole. I am sure there is a much better explanation but I go for the idiots guide every time.
  14. As a child we used to go on Dartmoor loooking for letterboxes. I only remembered this when describing geocaching to my mum who said "like we used to do dear?". So it seems there is no such thing as a new idea and the old stuff really is better. We had great fun and used to run up tors to be the first of the group to get the stamp. You had to take your own ink pad if I remember rightly. Mine was red, my brothers blue and if I got the stamp first his was purple which really annoyed him. Don't know what happened to my book probably got chucked out when it was no longer cool.
  15. As its just you and me playing at the mo I can ask......what is the connection here?
