  1. All the Geo-Achievement Coins are (I think) from CoinsAndPins.com right? I would't start making my own Geo-Achievement Coins, but maybe I can give them an idea for new Achievements. I do that too, on my backpack.
  2. I was thinking lately about these Geo-Achievement Coins. I do like to somethimes do an Geo-Achievement, and then I order the Coin with my name on it and what date/cache I Achievet it on. Now I know you got many different ones. Like for 100 finds, 5000 finds, 24 caches in 24 hours, 10 hides etc. The thing I haven't seen is that if you like find 1000 caches. Then if you have 1000 easy traditionals you have found 1000. But if you find 500 traditionals and 250 multi and 250 puzzle you also have 1000. I think it would be nice if you also get "250 Multi Geocaches found" achievement, or something like that. Those take longer to achieve then 250 traditionals. I would like to hear opinions about how other people think about this idea.
  3. Great to hear they are coming.
  5. Since this topic is about Trackable update idea's. I also would like that Groundspeak would add an option to remove all those "took it to...." logs in mass. Most of those logs are added (to my feeling) automaticly. Mostly it is done by a program. And it totaly messes up the Trackable's journey. Most of the times the Trackable was a 'home' while that geocacher finds new caches that are automatic logged "took it to....". Right now if I want to delete them I need to manualy click every one of them, and also the cacher who wrote that log gets a notification I deleted it. Some people do get angry about me doing that, but at the same time I stated on my Trackable pages that I don't want automatic empty logs. And I still get them. So I also would like to see these options added: - Option to mass delete "took it to..." logs. - Option to disble "took it to...." logs for a certain Trackable.
  6. Thanks for the info. I did buy some from him a while ago, but I was thinking he sold everything by now. Will have a look again. And I also found that search function. That I didn't see that. :/ I clicked everything for my fealing....
  7. At the moment I am having a few Geocoins that I have collected and my collection is growing. Happy about that. Now I was thinking, "What type of Geocoin do I get atracted to?" Looking to my collection, it is Dutch Geocoins and Geo-Achievement Geocoins. (I am Dutch myself.) Now I am trying to focus myself on those, as there are way too many nice Geocoins in the world to buy. I was wondering.... I have bought a Dutch Geocoin from 2012 and one from 2013. Where can I find if there are still Dutch Geocoins from 2011 and before for sale? Unactivated I like them the most. EDIT I have looked at CoinTracking.com, but they don't have a search function. (Atleast I don't see it.)
  8. How about these Dragon Coins. I have bought the Dragon Tails Glacier one, and I am very happy about how they look. Very nice coins. Click for link here
  9. My first TB is also collecting pictures, and he somethimes gets one. Not many, but idd rewarding when he does. I have my Coin already tagged that it is a Trackable, and should NOT be kept. I am making the TB page ready right now. Pictures I will make when the light is good. In the weekend or something. I decided to release her near my work. There is a safe cache over there. Hopefully it will have some nice travels. If it disapears, oh well.... This Coin didn't cost much, same as a TB tag. (Unlike some other Coins I have) But I know it looks much better, so I hope it doesn't encounter Gollum any time soon. If she does, bad luck I guess. Every step is another one. Let's see how long she will last.
  10. Thanks for letting know. Good to know they aren't stuck at the custums service or anything.
  11. I am deciding where to release it. I can drop it off in a Multi cache in the park near my home, or release it in my vacation in a few months. Hmm... Diffecult. I will have to think about that one.
  12. Yes, I do understand it better now. It is just I also like collecting them. And I don't want to end up with an American collection, while I am a European. I definitly know that European ones are not seen all around the world. And I also think that is the beauty of it. They are from this region. The geocoins I collected now are 1/4 USA/Canadian, the rest is European or personal coins. I also will have a look on that German site. I do speak a little bit of German, so I can figure that one out. I also did discover a good German website with a lot of EU Geocoins for good prices. Only disadvantage is that the shipment cost outside Germany are a bit ehh.... expensive. Kinda weird, since I live 2 hours from the German border (price for shipment to USA or Autralia is the same as for their neighbour country :S ).... but okey. Maybe I will buy some there later on, when I buy more then 2 a 3 at a time per month.
  13. As a cacher who realy likes finding Geocoins, and one that gets exited by all those different ones I see in the wild. I have never released a coin of myself into the wild. I do have 2 traveling, but those are made from Fimo Clay where I used the trackable number of the coin. So the coins are at home in my collection. (I call those Trackables, not geocoins) Since I am graduated now, and since I have a job. I am going to try sending out a Geocoin myself as well. I hope she does travel far and long. Since I heared Europe is still a relative safe place for Geocoins. I choose this Dutch themed coin, that is pretty but still relative cheap. Also the Silver version of this coin is the first geocoin I bought for myself, but that one is sold out. Theme: Famous Dutch writer (She is going to collect pictures of herself on travels.) I am exited already! I hope she will do some good traveling, if she doesn't I probebly will not release another one anymore. But I definitly want to try since I do always enjoys coins from other people that I have seen traveling.
  14. I have been thinking about this lately. But on the other hand I don't want to be rude so I didn't ask. But since I keep wondering abaout it I still think I should ask. As a Dutch geocacher, who also likes geocoins and who somethimes buys some. I was wondering: In my country we have a lot of different geocoins that can be bought. Now I mostly like a theme that a geocoin represents. Like WW2, typical Dutch Geocoins, firedepartment/abulance, memorial things etc. The thing however that I see more and more (at least to my fealing) is that many Geocoins here become USA themed. They are from a certain USA state and many have a USA flag on them. Like I noticed a fire department geocoin. I like the coin, but I didn't buy it becasue it had a USA flag behind it. It is just me, or do we Dutch (European) people get more and more USA coins, becasue there are less made in our own country?
  15. Are they already send? Because I don't have mine yet...
  16. Mine are made from Fimo Clay. On the right is the original coin that I bought, and the one on the left is the one that does the traveling. I spend some time in making and designing them, and on there page is also a part I wrote why they have the design I choose for them. Link to page: Gekroonde Rode Vogel Link to page: Bockereyders in de Nacht If anyone want to know more on these design you can read it on there page.
  17. I use GeoTribes as well. Great website, and you get an easy overview of where you Trackables have been and how many "hops" they made. Looking at all the comments on my topic I have to agree that the whole TB thing could use a update. Also for the things from the "ghost-Trackables" in caches. Hopefully one day they upgrade the TB's.
  18. #Tenzin

    Nice guys?

  20. Okey, I now get your point. But then: If you buy a Geocoin and keep that one at home. Then you let the number travel on something else, then that item becomes a Trackable and not a Geocoin. So calling it a Trackable would be better. I do agree that finding a laminated copy of a Geocoin doesn't look to apealing to take it travel with you. Personaly I haven't seen many "laminated photo's" of Geocoins traveling around. Only 1, and I left that one in the cache, but I did log a "discover". From my experience in my country I have seen more Trackables that where created by a Cacher. Like they buy a Geocoin. And becasue Geocoins cost some money (in my country there are 2x more expensive as from Groundspeak), they use the number of the Geocoin and create something themselves. I have seen a couple of Fimo Clay Coins traveling around (I have also 2) or wood ones where people engraved pictures on it. But here people spend time in making Trackables. So they still look fancy, and that you want to take them to travel with you. But again, I haven't seen many "laminated Geocoin photo's". Also on the Trackable page here it is clearly noted that these are Trackables made themselves by people. Like a own made name, pictures of the Trackable creation.
  21. I am intrested in one as well. But I will decide what one to take once you pasted a picture of it. Right now I think I will be intrested in "Version C".
  22. But if we send out the real Coin, it will go missing raly fast. Then you will have plenty of caches that list an intresting Coin that is, in real life, not there. So if somebody makes there own copy, it is not okey. But if "Groundspeak" makes a copy tag to release it is okey? I don't understand that one...
  23. The thing I know about Geocoins is that these items are a lot (A LOT) cheaper in the USA then in other countries. (For example in Europe some cost 2 times as much.) I have no problem with people sending out something different and use the trackable number of the Geocoin they bought. After all, if I buy a TB then mostly they travel with a toy attached or something. If you take a Geocoins number and make yourself something to travel around it is basicly the same. Only the item has a picture when you log it.
