I just bought City Select v6 and am having problems conecting to my Legend C. I can connect with Expert GPS with no problems, but not with Garmin Software. I am using Win XP, a new version of C.S. and a almost new Legend c and a new CX. Neither unit works with the USB with the Garmin Software but does with other software. So now I am up a creek and need HELP. Thanks in advance, Steve

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the frontpage of the venture . I would like my name and address to appear. Thanks. I have a Legend and a Legend C and the both have a icon in their menues that allow you to edit the welcome page. I have upgraded the software on the venture but still have not found where to change the data. I am giving the venture away for x-mas and wanted to have it personalized with her name as she tends to misplace things. Thanks all and have a Merry Christmas!!!!

I just upgraded to the color Legend from the b/w version. Of course cable are diff. I am looking for a cable that works off the cig lighter and also is a data cable for the laptop. I had one for the 1st legend and now I need a new one. Any help would be great! Thanks

I use the Garmin Roads andrec maps on the legend c. It seems to be just fine. Easy to use . Just pick the area you want and save it to the C.

With new batts. I can get the 13 to 17 foot accuracy under light to medium cover. Cloudy days don't bother it. Worked preety good in a good snowstorm last year. The Legend will get you most places. I have 3/4 of the state of Michigan stored in the unit and have plenty of mem left.

My Legen will get 13 -17 feet under tree cover. Dont know much about the Magellan but i SURE like my legend. I have had it for two years and no problems. Just check for updates.

That happened to me in Grand Rapids. They had me adjust where I had them park. Make sure it is on the same side of the tracks. It might help.

Yes Mapsource and you can plot a course. I am using the roads and rec. I have always used the delorme street atlas program. Then fed the waypoints into Mapsource. The just upload it back to the garmin. Workswell for me.

I have a legend with roads and rec cd. they work well with each other and make the legend very good. It has all the memory you will need for geocaching. I have used the legend with most of the mapping software out and its a breeze to use.

They look very cool. Since Im a PDA user the combo would be worth it to me. Just wish they had moe info.

I was just looking into getting the 120. I was looking for more info and a comparison with the Etrex Legend. That is what I use now. But I like what I see in the Rhino. So just asking for more info. Thanks

I and my father have used street atlas for years. He travels the country every year. He never goes without it. Any decent GPS will work with it. Any newer laptop will work.
