  1. Even if they don't have a goal attached to them, people should be able to read the on-line goals before dropping them off. Cuz it's where they go that's key!
  2. Hi, I hope admin is listening... I don't know if this is the right place to mention this or not (if it isn't, maybe somebody could tell me where to post). It would be great if you could post a note with a bug when you deposit it. Then you could say something about the adventures it's had since it's last cache home. This could make the bug's log pages more interesting. When you have to post your note when you pick it up, there isn't much to say. $0.02.
  3. Done! A geocacher in Kansas saw my posting and was able to partner up with me to do this cache. MW.
  4. I found my partner... a geocacher in Kansas helped me out. MW.
  5. I got my partner... a geocacher in Kansas answered my call (on a different forum... duh). Medium Willis
  6. We have a match! Thanks for your help Larry.
  7. I bought a USB/Serial converter, as I only have a laptop. The computer "talked" to the GPS once, and has never done it again. The converter works great for my Palm, but for the life of me I can't figure how to get it to work with the GPS. I know it should work, as it did that initial time. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I hate the idea of buying another cable for the GPS, but I might just to avoid the frustration.
  8. I don't think I need to get to "your" coordinates, you just need to take a photo of your GPS with "my" coordinate on it, post it, reference my user name, (or email Crusso) email me the photo, and then we can both post the find. (Huh, sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it ) So if you can get to 94 55.474, that would be great! Medium Willis
  9. Hi, I'm looking for a partner for the Where's in a Name locationless cache (GC3153 ). My nickname (or at least part of it) "Willis" translates to 94 55.474'. Does anyone want to play? Medium Willis

  13. There are already three caches near Peggy's cove... they are not in the tourisy area itself, however I'd sure anyone doing those caches would visit the lighthouse and other attractions in Peggy's Cove, esp. if they were new to the area. The existing caches take you on a wonderful hike along the coastline - a coastline that should be shown off. If this virtual is really going to show you something new, go for it. But if it's going to be another "drive through" caches and not add anything to the visitors enjoyment of the area, I'd say skip it.
  14. WOW! I just read about this race for the first time and am very impressed. Great idea. I wish I had a bug handy! Question: Would it not be a good idea to disqualify any racer from moving another racer's travel bug? I understand the 50 mile radius thing is to stop it from being moved backwards, but what's to stop somebody holding on to somebody elses bug for ages? Not very sportsmanlike, but I'm sure it could happen in the name of winning. I really am writing to say that I'm a Halifax cacher as well, and could get involved with a finish line, should one be implemented. Maybe a few of us here could even collaborate? Good luck to all the bugs!
