  1. for example: http://img.geocaching.com/stats/tb.aspx?gu...5d-9e2a63df15a5 These don't work in this forum since images can't be dynamic. But you can include them on your own page. Thanks for your post! I was able to put something together! Now I just need to get pictures for my other TBs and coins! Here's what I have so far: My Travel Bugs
  2. and I always thought Joey had it right!
  3. Neat. Anyone got any info on this site? Looks like a cool site. I'd like to try it out. Maybe I'll start my own little race with my dad or something.
  4. I too like just the torch on the back with everything else on the front.
  5. I have the Ohio coin in hand right now. It's actually a great coin! The topo features look pretty cool. I don't care for the lake at the top, but I suppose it made it an easier coin to do because of a small peninsula up there. The back of the Ohio coin has some facts about the canals & caches, much like has been suggested for the back of our Indiana coin. I just had a thought... it would be cool if every state did a state-shaped coin in the same scale so that you could put them all together!
  6. Doug, Just so you know, once the dies are made there is no adjustment in the design unless you pay for a new set of dies. Colors can be changed as well as metal types, but any adjustment to the die is not going to happen with out getting a new die.Adjustments are made in the artwork phase. The best advise I can give is to gather all your ideas and drawings that everyone is giving, put together a list of what you want on the coin and let Oakcoins work their magic. Something you might want to do is to see what other states have done when making a state shaped coin. Alabama and Mississippi both made a shaped coin in 2006. Keep the ideas flowing people, you are doing a fine job. Chris-Team Shydog Ohio did a state-shaped coin too. In fact they have the canals of Ohio on theirs so we can see what the raised Interstates might look like.
  7. dadgum fine idea! Do you use Firefox? Prime Suspect has a Grease Monkey script that puts a list of your logs at the top of the cache page. That's something else that would be pretty cool if implemented. Does this script still work for you? My list of logs disappeared about the time that the geocaching web pages were redesigned. I contacted the script author and he said he'd check into it when the pages stop changing. By the way, I love the idea of a check or smiley for caches I have found and a frownie for ones I DNF's.
  8. And some of us have our vehicles tagged as TBs. Obviously you can't grab & drop the vehicle, unless I loan you my vehicle. So you need to "discover" them if you see them.
  9. Great question and great answer! I used the OP's idea and your answer to do this to two TB pages of mine that are in the same race: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=655158 http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=657607 Then I had an idea. If you are adding a lot of HTML or wanting to spruce up your pages even more you could do this: Download this free WYSIWYG HTML editor: http://www.nvu.com/index.php Then, type what you want in the NORMAL tab and define any links and make any other changes you want. Then switch to the SOURCE tab and copy everything between (but not including) <body> and </body> and past into your TB or cache page.
  10. Like the majority of the answers... option B for me.
  11. I always wished I could see WHO was watching caches, coins or TBs.
  12. Only if it's a wooden nickel! I'll make the wooden nickel. You can pay for it, but it's a lease! Like one of those 75 year toll road leases?
  13. Only if it's a wooden nickel!
  14. I really like those too. However, there are going to be people that don't like having the Colts on there, either because they don't like the Colts, don't like football, are mad the Pacers aren't mentioned, etc. I think if you left the Colts off there, you'd have a winning entry! Man, there is something about those color combinations that really look sharp!
  15. I really like the looks of that! It's ready for primetime in my opinion!

    TB's

Yes, you are (I believe) allowed to go back and help a coin or TB move along. Don;t log the cache as a find again though. Just log a note that you stopped to pick up the coin or TB.
  17. I don't think that anything that is location-specific (interstates or cache location) should be on the back. With the state being reversed, those things would be wrong. I think we should leave the back side to other imagery of Indiana.
  18. I think it looks great so far. The only thing I'd like changed is I'd prefer it to say 2007 instead of just 07, like on most other coins. That's just my opinion though.
  19. I like both your front & back designs.
  20. I do have all the caches in GSAK loaded into the 60csx as POIs. I am not really wanting to transfer waypoints to the 60csx. I was more interested in being able to look up the next nearest in CacheMate using the signal from the 60csx. But I guess I will have to give up on that with the Tungsten. I won't quit using CacheMate though. I LOVE being able to log them in CacheMate as I go, complete with notes, and then when I get home, being able to use the Express Logger to log them online! Very cool feature!
  21. I would like to see a state shaped one. I did like the idea of including the first cache placed in Indiana as a highlight of the coin. I would think it would need to include other that side of the coin itself. Maybe, the most visited cache, etc. If it were round...hmm...so many possiblities! Not very artistic here, so I'll just say this. As long as it's something that represents the WHOLE state, and not just certain areas of it, it should turn out good! I like the idea of the state's first cache. As for something that represents ALL of Indiana, I can't think of anything. We are ALL Hoosiers, but how do you depict that? Those are good suggestions too.
  22. What Palm & Garmin do you do this with? I have a Tungsten E2 and a 60csx I'd love to be able to connect. I use CacheMate.
  23. One idea: If it is state shaped, it could have the Interstates on it. That might boost sales by being of interest to people that travel through Indiana and cache on their way through. Kinda like this (without Bloomington being highlighted): Maybe even featuring National Road 40.
