I have been to several caches in my area where there were supposed to be some geocoins, but there is nothing. I'm a newbie and it has discouraged me from releasing a coin to travel.

Mahalo! I will have a new series of trackable coins for sale soon. I just finished designing the stamp for the back of the coins, and I've sent the artwork to claystamps.com to have a brass clay stamp machined. I'll keep posting news as things progress. In the mean time, I pressed a bunch of non-trackable trade/cache only clay tikicoins and tiki tiles this afternoon for the trip to Colorado that we are taking next month (2nd-12th of September): I gotta dry these guys out fast and fire them quick! Can't wait to do some mainland caching! Aloha, Tiki Wow! Where in Colorado are you going? I would love to find one of those in a cache! Absolutely amazing job on these!

My new heart's desire coin is the prinsesstårta coin Solan109 sent Theotokos; saw the picture in the "what's in your mailbox" thread and I got super excited. Prinsesstårta is actually the first cake I ever ate as a baby, and I have a prinsesstårta birthday card that my grandparents sent me last year pinned on my desk! Acadiahiker told me it's called "Princess Cake" and offered to trade with me. Unfortunately, the only coin I have to trade right now is a 2008 Earth Turtle, which she already has! Maybe I just need to contact Solan109, cause I WANT IT BAD!

I looked at the picture, and for some reason, Salt Lake City popped into my head, even though I have never been there and haven't really seen that many pictures of it. After a quick Google search, I knew my hunch was correct. Plus the "UTA" on the train station didn't hurt!

I don't deserve to win because I've never been to a geocaching event! Seriously. I really need to make it to one, looks like a lot of fun.
