  1. Thanks, I figured that this had already been talked about, but couldn't find it in a search. Anyway, I kind of felt that if you get to a cache and someone seems like they are already working on it, you're basically SOL and should come back or wait...not sweat them. But, it's not like it's a really big deal...I'll just try to go back if I have time later.
  2. Yeah now I kind of wish I had. I certainly don't have any qualms about making a fool of myself.
  3. Is there a convention for what to do when you run into other geocachers? Like a secret handshake? I was looking for a cache today when 2 people came unusually close to where I was, and while I played it cool waiting for them to walk by, they basically stared at me and looked over their shoulders at me when they went away. I ended up bailing on the cache because they were being so "suspicious" and I was obviously being watched. Lo and behold, as I ride away, the two of them make a bee-line for where I was walking around! I am kind of annoyed, but what should we do in that situation? I was tempted to introduce myself and look together, but there were too many people around...
  4. Then they would want us to have them on all the time. And high-gain antennas would be given out free at political rallies. (which wouldn't be so bad)
  5. How do you get GE 4.0 Beta? I have GE Plus Version 3.0 and it says no updates are available. It is still a beta version, so it has not been fully released yet. If you go the the Google Earth web site, you will find the option to try out 4.
  6. This is awesome, thanks for clarifying this for me. You can really cover quite a bit of area with 64MB, what I would probably do is just change the maps if I was going somewhere else. Of course, now this has given me a pretty good excuse to buy the extra sets of maps, which is all I need to do right now
  7. Is there a way to figure the specifics about how much you can store with each of these? I am in a similar situation with my Vista Cx 64MB card, and wondering how much more I can really put on that card, or whether I'll need to get a new card if I buy one of these map sets.
  8. Just an update: Google earth version 4 beta DOES seem to support Garmin CX models. My Vista CX works fine, although it's the least useful interface possible, it's nice to be able to drag waypoints and stuff into my GE folders.
  9. Thanks. Yes I upgraded to Plus, and when I choose to download from the CX it says "Downloading from 'usb:'..." and just sits there. Anyway, I believe it's because the new models are not supported, I was just hoping someone got this to work. Sounds like the google earth forums have not gotten it to work either.
  10. Has anyone gotten their Garmin Cx models to work in Google Earth? I read in another forum that they are not supported... Just looking for some confirmation...
