Do any of you old timers who are getting brand spanking new units for the holidays have a used unit that you want to sell to me? It's about time that I have my own, I think.

Fun, fun. Not a bad introduction to geocaching, geocachers and geocashew nuts (well, two out of three...).
More, please .

I'm getting extra-teased because I can't figure out how to open the teaser. My computer downloaded it and then told me it was too large to be opened by SimpleText. Is this a non-Mac-format file?

I'd like to go see the meteor showers (they're much less environmentally taxing than meteor baths) but I don't have a way to get out into the hinterlands. If there is anyone planning to drive from downtown Portland, or anywhere near a MAX or bus stop, and would like to have a fellow passenger, please email me at dreeble@earthlink.net.

Hello all. I'm a recent immigrant to Portland, and a geocaching neophyte. Are there any generous folk out there who want to take me on and show me how this is done?

Is there a site one can go to for virtual cache-type listings specifically? I see nothing wrong with virtuals spinning off into their own sport (or becoming a sub-phylum of geocaching proper), but no-one's mentioned a way to tease them apart from the traditional caches. Can you search by cache type?
For me personally the fun is in figuring out the puzzles, and I don't really mind what the payoff is, be it a tupperware container, a film container, a meme or a guy sitting in a bar waiting for the event cachers to roll in.
