  1. Correction: projectcoins@tntgeocoins.com correct? Email sent to add more coins...
  2. I'm thinking that cointracking.com would get on my nerves if the same coin is listed under different names. I'm just a little, urm, picky about that sort of thing I prefer things nice and neat when possible. And the variety of tracking options with geocoincollection.com sounds good too, as well as ease of adding the listings. I'm leaning... Thanks everybody, I really appreciate the replies. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to read them. I've been pretty busy.
  3. Ok, more to consider. Still reading posts...
  4. FWIW, if anyone wants to get a coin or TB out of a bad area, I'd be happy to get it in circulation for you. I live in Alabama but I travel all over the country. I get home once a month or so and could drop them a cache near there or in another state.
  5. I've had this thought myself. I do see how some people value an unactivated coin higher than those that are. However, a activated coin can always be adopted, correct? -Jesse
  6. That's a good point! I didn't know about that limitation on the other site. Thanks for that tidbit!
  7. OK, I'm relatively new to geocoin collecting but I've amassed quite a collection already. Yes, I went a little crazy but who doesn't? I'm really interested in trading coins as there are some beautiful pieces out there. I know of a couple of websites where I can post what I have and what I wish for (cointracking.com and geocoincollection.com). What site do you use and why? I'm interested in the differences between sites and why you like one versus the other. I hope it's appropriate to ask for a recommendation like this Thanks, everybody!
  8. Man, where'd you get that case? I could use one (or 3 )
  9. Nope, thank you for all your hard work. I hope Tank's mom is doing alright. -Jesse
  10. Lol, that is hilarious Would've loved to see your face & everyone elses who was there. Yep, I have to agree. Esp. funny since I ate sushi just a while ago (I only do the rolls w/rice and seaweed though... I can't do plain ol' raw fish ) -Jesse
  11. For a long time I had only a handheld GPSr. When I finally went paperless I just added a PDA. Definitely the best thing I every did. Oh, and I use GSAK to manage cache info and send it to my PDA and GPSr. My only regret is that I don't have a GPSr with maps (I'm working on upgrading - a new unit is the only item on my Christmas wish-list to my girlfriend ). I'm constantly in fresh/unknown territory and printing/carrying paper maps is time-consuming, aggravating, and last-but-not-least wasteful. -Jesse
  12. Being rather new to collecting, not to mention the forums, lol, I have yet to trade anything for a coin. I have to agree with everyone else; coins, tags, swag, ammo boxes- whatever. As long as both parties are satisfied, it's a good trade. -Jesse
  13. Here's a question: How many of you make 'fake' coins to send out rather then the real deal? I've recently seen a couple. One was a laminated card with photos of the front and back of the coin as well as a description and explanation (put out to replace a stolen coin). The other was a large wooden coin with photos of the original coin attached to each side. I personally have mixed feelings about this. I don't enjoy finding these quite as much as I do 'real' coins. However, I understand why some people do it. I've been considering this with some of my more treasured coins. What's your opinion? -Jesse
  14. These I really like (and look forward to receiving). I also like the Tranquility coins, the Zodiac final, Luminous Energy, Ellandel's China coin (and Singapore), Dragon spinners, Landsharkz Rock Garden, Earth Turtle, I could go on but I'll spare you While there are others I like as well (such as mudnuri and Red-Handed, some of the Signal coins - not to mention all those dork fish, lol) I think I tend to be drawn to 'coins' with spiritual themes, nature or native cultures. I love the metal coins but the creativity and skill behind the Four Spirit Pottery coins is undeniable. And I do like the idea of a stained-glass coin (to keep, never to circulate - it's the art, you see) I suppose we all have quite the variety of opinion regarding 'beauty'. You know, eye of the beholder and all that. And some coins are just plain fun, which is a beauty of it's own. All just my .02 worth -Jesse
  15. These are great! I admit I love cats (animals in general but cats especially) but the time and personal touch here are what make these exceptional. I have no suggestions to help but I'm sure those of a more crafty persuasion can offer some. Regardless, great job (including the writing ) -Jesse
  16. I've sent you my email address... I know nobody really knows me, lol. I haven't been collecting for very long (some of you here have probably made some money off me in the last few weeks ) Iand 've only been reading this forum for a week or so (I think ). I'll try to post now and then, when I feel I have something to add Anyway, I'm a truck driver and I'm all over the country for weeks at a time. I rarely get a chance to meet cachers much less coin traders. Hopefully I'll get to know some of you and possibly meet a few of you during my travels. Not to worry, I'm no stalker! I'm actually pretty introverted and often just keep my head down and keep moving Shutting up now... -Jesse aka earthrooster
  17. I'm definitely interested in this coin! I'm sending you an email now...
  18. I have the USB adapter and data cable. I've donwloaded .GPX waypoints into EasyGPS. When I try to send the waypoint to my 72 I get the msg: "No Data was received from the GPS". Any suggestions? The EasyGPS Help doesn't tell me much. Thanks earthrooster
  19. Got it! I'll email the owner now, thanks
  20. I have now idea how it happened... I'm tired and was in a hurry I guess. Anyway, I delted the log to the wrong cache but the TB is gone from my inventory. The TB is PAPABEAR'S car and should have been dropped today in WWTH (GCRFZ2). Thanks
