  1. I agree with BrianSnat (is that BS for short? ;-) Anyway, GeoLitter I'd think is the litter someone leaves while geocaching (either placing or finding). GeoLitter, IMO, is neither of the 2 you've put down. My 2c. RobertM Geo 104, 25
  2. Interesting choice of words. Pun intended? RobertM Geo 138, 105
  3. By "Park Weirdos" are you referring to the type at Reststop Park Caches, or are there other weirdos too? RobertM Geo 34, 39F-X, 40A-N, 101
  4. People are discussing other people's taglines that they use on the Geocaching forums. Lighten up. Don't be be _______________ Gorak Geo 103 115 54 39EN Yes, the topic heading tells us what the topic is about, in this case it is: What's With The Geo Xy... In Sigs? RobertM Geo 116, 122, 138
  5. What's wrong with showing her the forums, where cachers have a place to discuss geocaching? Are you embarrased about what you've posted in the forums before? RobertM Geo 34, 39E-X, 40E-J
  6. True, no one likes dictatorship which in my opinion is "sort of" the way things are here. But that's just my opinion. But it's also their website (not mine) and they can run it any way they like. Nothing wrong with that. It's a fact of life. Just agreeing with your statement / post. :-) RobertM Geo 140, 134, 116
  7. E-mail Groundspeak.com (through the link on the website) with your issues directly. The forums are not the place to address these issues. RobertM Geo 105, 91
  8. That was my point too. But I'll hold off posting as not everyone understands the issue. No more to say on this.
  9. Simple. You get a life! What does that mean? You were too quick. I was editing my post to better explain myself.
  10. Simple. You get a life! It's not all about permission, permission, permission. Do I need permission to fart too?
  11. So what are you posting BS for then? My post was in reference to new topics, as I only added to one and DID NOT start one. And for the bs, there's plenty more on here other than mine. I may post once every month or so, as others post ten or fifteen times a day, and yet I get attacked for my single post. How lovely! It's not a quantity / quality issue. BS is BS. RobertM Geo 113, 115
  12. Well that's your opinion. RobertM Geo 139, 140, 109
  13. Hey! Keep out of my territory!! Those "smarties" you've left in some caches I'm sure have helped a lot of people. Sometimes it is just all in the head. ;-)
  14. Geocaching.com is a listing service. As a listing service there are guidelines. If you ignore those guidelines, your cache won't be listed. You have free will. Geocache whatever way you want. However, in order to have your cache listed you must list your cache as per the guidelines for the listing service. If you decide you violate the listing requirements that is your free will. That doesn't mean we'll list it though. We have free will too. I'm not disagreeing. I'm not saying I'm going to put things in the cache that should not be in there according to the rules / guidelines. Re-read my messages. I do however object to the sillyness that is prevelant in North America in terms of liability and the inability for people to think for themselves. The coffee spilling / sueing incident comes to mind. Does someone get my point about my argument over this? Some do it seems. RobertM Geo 39B-MX
  15. You are mistaking some facts here. Geocaching is an activity. Geocaching.com is a company. Who made Geocaching.com / Groundspeak the "rule" setter for caches? I paid to join this site and now all these, IMO, dumb rules get set. I'll say it again, I'll place what ever I like in my caches. And that doesn't mean I will, or do. I'm just saying that I don't need someone telling me what I can / cannot do. I'm an adult and am able to think. (And I don't need anyone's smarta%& comments on that last line.) There are speed limits, I sometimes go over them, but when safe or if I just happen to not realize it. No one gets hurt by going 55km/h in a 50km/h zone. Someone could. But someone could get hurt by the little old lady driving 30km/h not looking what she's doing. Same with caches. A leatherman tool in a cache at the top of a mountain is NOT a big deal. It's all relative. People are taking things ALL the wrong way. I vote that the rules be brought back to simple guidelines. Anyone agree to that point?
  16. "Master and Slave" racist? What next?!?!? I think there's something in the air here in North America! This is just WAY TOO bizarre! Call your cache whatever you like. It's "your" cache. But the name could be good for one of those adult-oriented type caches I mentioned earlier. ;-)
  17. I hope you reported it to the Cache Owner. ;-)
  18. Logbooks with the metal ring, someone could use that wire incorrectly. And wood, anything made of wood. Somebody could get stabbed with big splinter. Then theres the items that are made of heavy or hard materials which could be used to beat someone (sorry Weasel, no more polished rocks!) Rocks! Yes, those rock-shaped geocaching containers are dangerous too. We have a few like that here. A kid could pick one up and throw it at another kid and hit him in the head. The parents would then sue Geocaching.com / Groundspeak. Oh my! What a dilemna we have. The end of geocaching is near! ;-) Aren't all these pathetic rules just.... pathetic!? RobertM
  19. Cool. I'll place the cache in accordance with the guidelines, walk away, use my GPS to find my own cache (which I'll later log!) and then trade all the junk I left in it the first time for the items that aren't allowed. Trust a legal guy to find the loophole! ;-) Thanks Seneca!
  20. Sort of like for "harvesting"? Harvesting.... that's got something to do with thanksgiving, or around that time, right? Could have something to do with those crop-circles too. RobertM Geo 40E-J, 39E-NX
  21. What's even more funny (or is that sad?) is that if someone else had said it they would have gotten banned / suspended for saying it. :-( Robert Geo 39EF-MX
  22. I can't wait for my vacation in Florida. I'll be sure to hit all your caches first and fill in the log book correctly, i.e. draw some good detailed diagrams. ;-) Geo 39B-M
