  1. Oh, this is going to be an interesting topic to track!
  2. What are you wearing in your avatar picture?
  3. With 40% on my warn meter I definitely think I'm on a list, of some sort at least! I promised a certain moderator I'd behave for a certain period of time, and as promised I'm behaving. But I'm STILL on the LIST, I'm sure!
  4. I guess my tagline is not 100% correct then.
  5. Not flaming you or making fun of you Radmann. But why let it bother you. They are volunteering for a thankless job, and are people too. I imagine they take an unholy amount of Bovine Scatology for a volunteer. So what if they cut loose a little ? Its not like we don't bait them, A LOT ! To me, its all a game, cause nobodys gonna get an eye poked out. Again, I'm NOT attacking you or your post Radmman. You seem to have a great sense of humor, except for this topic. Don't let it ruin your fun. I agree with both of you. It's all a game. It's entertainment. It's the forums. Yes, no one is getting an eye poked out. But some however don't see it that way. :-(
  6. I've edited / deleted quite a number of my posts but my meter remains at 40%.
  7. They are still there. I was just in there now. There's a whole room full of people! Have fun! :-)
  8. I gave the number on the site a call. Costs $20 to get 10 riddles involving geographical features / things of the Northern part of the Island that you need to solve. Once you've proved you've solved them (by contacting the guy from the Lions Club by phone, mail, or whatever) they send you a story about the Legend of the Lion which basically tells you where the wooden lion is hidden on the Island, but not the spot. When you have the wooden lion you can claim the prize, which may not be $50,000. The competition has been going for 3 years and so far they've sold about $5000 worth of tickets and no one has claimed the prize yet. So if you were to win now you'd get half of what they've sold, which is $2500. RobertM Geo 131
  9. Hi, My name is Snoogans and I have G.A.S. Geocaching Addiction Syndrome You are showing all the signs too. I suggest you downlad the coords to the local chapter of G.A. (Geocacher's Anonymous) Sn gans If we attend can we log it as a find for a group event? ;-)
  10. Exactly! El Diablo Well then I guess I'm excluded. ;-)
  11. Jomarac5 was telling me about batteries that are imported and are been sold as / labelled as Duracell's in Dollar Stores but they are not Duracell's. Apparently they leak or explode and are not worth the price at all. I'd be very careful of cheap batteries.
  12. I hear there's a good deal on rechargeable batteries at some stores too.
  13. Woohoo! I'm on the list. But what does that mean as within 1 hour all will be lost. :-(
  14. There are, and have been all along, 24 active GPS satellites. There are also usually three spares in orbit. All of the birds in orbit use a bit of fuel to adjust their orbit from time to time, and eventually run out. Between fuel usage and normal wear and tear, the service life of a GPS satellite is 4 to 5 years. From time to time one of the 24 "in service" birds will either fail or approach the end of normal life and need to be replaced by one of the orbiting spares. When this happens, or is expected to, a new spare is launched. This has no effect on system accuracy. Dave_W6DPS Why can't it use solar power to move / adjust itself or recharge batteries? Can't the space shuttle "re-fuel" it considering that it's such an expensive piece of US taxpayers money in the first place?
  15. That's what we were doing, I think. I was talking about tadpoles, which is the subject of the topic. Who's off-topic and not discussing tadpoles? RobertM Geo 39F-MX
  16. Those are supposed to be tadpoles? They look like sperm, or pictures of what sperm supposedly looks like. RobertM Geo 34 I think these look more like tadpoles...they're at least green What's the yellow thing without a tale?
  17. Wow, you've got some cool stuff in there! RobertM Geo 25
  18. I wonder how long it took him to create them in PhotoShop (I think that's what he said he used)? Tadpole sounds alot like fagpole. I wait, I'm getting off-topic here and I'd hate to be the one to bring up the hole "H" debate again. ;-)
  19. I thought the B stood for Bright?
