  1. He's always threatening to move there, says he used to live there at one time, but last month he said it's gonna be a few years before he will be able to move.
  2. I am not the jealous type, but even I become green with envy when I read what Lazyboy and Mitey Mite have been doing the last couple of weeks: click here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest_cache.asp?ul=Lazyboy+%26+Mitey+Mite 49 weeks of the year these folks pretend to be backwoods hicks from Butte Falls, Oregon. Then, for 3 weeks every year, they play like international jetsetters and go live large in Hawaii, scuba diving, sucking down pineapple, and GEOCACHING !! Heaven love 'em, those chameleons should at least bring me a t-shirt for all my jealous suffering. 3. Flashlights are soooo yesterday. Ya need to pick yerself up some night vision goggles. Hehe.
  4. Due to the controversy surrounding the use of Ammo Boxes as cache containers, Cachew Nut recently posted that he no longer uses Ammo Boxes. He says he now uses Mortar Tubes.

  7. Maybe, just maybe, your life could be a lot more fulfilling if you would stop worrying about what other people thought or said or did. Just trying to help.
  8. I buried one. It is easy to find though because I just put a little topsoil over the ammo can and then I put a 40lb rock right on top of it. It is virtually impossible for anybody not caching to find it, but all ya gotta do is roll away the rock, and VOILA!
  9. To find out how far you are from Baghdad and which direction is the shortest route from where you are, just enter N33 20.000 E44 24.000 into the ol' GPS. Those are the coords for Baghdad, or close enough. To make it interesting try to guess the distance and direction before you enter it in your GPS.
  10. Having worked as a moderator and administrator on a website before, I have to tell you it is a thankless job. Especially when you consider these people are probably volunteers, just doing it for the love of Geocaching. Being a website admin is fun for the first two weeks or so, after that it is a responsibility wrought with several headaches more than anything else. A well thought out and placed geocache could last 20 years. In my opionion a few days of delay in the beginning should not be a paramount issue.
  11. Pizza VI is coming, and the Boxerlovers have added a couple of twists that I like very much. First, there is a contest where whoever finds the most caches the day of the event wins a prize. I think that's great because it favors out of area cachers who come see us for the event, as we locals have of course already found most of the caches in the area. Second, there is also a token of appreciation for whoever places a cache between now and the get together. Here's the URL: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=46816 Y'all come see us now, ya hear? (We're not all hicks actually, so you city slickers come on down and find out fer yerselves.) Heh.
  12. CONGRATULATIONS ON FINDING 300 CACHES! I take the liberty of speaking for all Pacific Northwest Geocachers in stating that we appreciate your contributions to the pastime.
  13. That is excellent news. More cachers means more caches to find. Now, what can we do to make it a REQUIRED course?!
  14. FOUND AN ANTIPODES MAP: http://www.wendycarlos.com/maps/nadirs.jpg Enjoy.
  15. To heck with this... This is the information age.. Somebody find me a website that calculates the antipode for you, and send me the link!
  16. Attorney's fees, New passport, Stats all fouled up, Identity crisis, Changer's remorse, Your children not knowing what to call you, Missing out on your parents will because they refuse to honor your new name... It just ain't worth it dude.
  17. I read this on a travel bug log: "Note from ********************: Another virtual bug find thanks to the posted tracking number " My opinion is that this is WEAK. Please note that I deleted the name of the poster (no, the number of spaces is not correct.) I am not a namecaller. This is weak BECAUSE: 1. The poster obviously did not find it the traditional way 2. Most of the time when a travel bug number is posted somewhere it is not done by the owner of the bug, but done by a Newbie finder, or by the media in a photo.

  19. Wow, those are some really neat flames. Can I have permission to put them on my 1980 Chevy Malibu ?! =)
  20. Well, the first one is no good. I mean, the tree is the right color, but it still has needles on it, and none of the trees around here have any left. All burnt off.

  22. Congratulations. That's awesome baby !!
  23. I lived in Forest Grove for 6 years, and I never saw the sun from October thru March in any of those years. Of course, RAIN may be too strong a word, it was actually just a CONSTANT DRIZZLE. Depressing. Some people say it's nice because you can use fancy colorful umbrellas to accent your wardrobe, and it is always cool enough to wear nice fashionable suits and sweaters and such. I say, "Rain. Ptooey!"
  24. Ah, it should be fine then. Very good. Of course, this is trivial compared to what the local residents are facing.
