  1. I will take three of these when the time comes. Nick
  2. I cannot get files either .loc or .gpx to open in GE period, they just won't show up. Since I upgraded to the new version I have no drag and drop, and when I try to open one of these files from the File pull down menu (and yes I specified gpx and loc on the file type pull down), I get the little menu "GPS data import" then when I click OK there is some warning thing with a button on it that pops up and goes away so fast you can barely see it. THen I get the GPS device showing up on the sidebar but nothing is displayed on the main map/photo. This is really ticking me off. I have tried everything listed in this thread. I would really just like this program to work like it used to. I paid for the plus and updated to the Beta and now it works less like I want it to. Any help would be appreciated. Nick
  3. I went looking for this benchmark Sunday CM1918 after checking here Google Earth Map / Satellite Photo and walking the ground with a GPS I found nothing but the Fort Benning Golf Course. There is a elevated patch of ground where the GPS says the coordinates are but there are no tanks visible withing 200-300 yards. The coordinates cannot be that "approximate". The history on the data sheet only lists being observed in 1933. The coordinates were updated in September 1997. I am thinking that they just went through all the coordinates listed for the area and did the conversion to modern methods without actually going to the sites. My question is should I mark it as destroyed on the Geocaching websight? Thanks, Nick
  4. I am pretty sure I found it but I am going to leave my log the same. I was on the right side of the bridge, because as the description said I was on the only concrete pier on the bridge. Until I am able to assemble the equipment to rappel down and actually get a close look I will not be 100% sure. I am going to get the stuff together and check it out again. It is not an active rail line, the trackes are all rusted and I have never seen a train go down that track (it is within 500m of my office). Actually there are several benchmarkw on this particular rail line. I am hoping to find one of them intact. Regards, Nick
  5. I went searching for a benchmark yesterday and found this. It was right where the description said it should be and within 30m of the grid coordinates. These photos are as clear as I could take. I was not equipped to climb down to clean off the object and see read it. I only posted a note as a log instead of a find. My question is do I have to climb down and try to read it or can I claim ths as a find? This is the benchmark CM0335 . Here are my pics Any assistance or opinions would be appreciated. Regards, Nick
  6. 3.5 km from my home coordinates. I DNF'd it on my first time attempting Geo caching. Regards, Nick
