  1. * XP home * IE 7 * any, here's one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/gmnearest.a...amp;lon=-81.209 * Yes, and turning off phishing filter fixes problem Any estimate for the update that fixes this problem?
  2. 1. The screw connection is awkward, but it's also used for cigarette lighter adapter in a vehicle mount so a simple USB connection may not work there. But I understand your frustration. I think I could connect it easier if I had three hands. 2. My battery compartment lid is not flush either, so the seaworthiness of my unit is suspect. However, I don't ever remove the battery, so I don't have that problem. 3. I don't remove the SD card either. It just stays in the unit, so this one is no bid deal to me.
  3. This is all cool stuff. Someone ought to go through this thread and bookmark all the ruins caches and make the bookmark list public.
  4. By default it is allowed since the system does not prohibit it.
  5. One of our favorite all time caches is End of the Road. The proper way to get to it requires a long hike or moderate bike ride along an abandoned road. Near the starting point is a bridge that goes over a channel. We revisit this spot every year and go bridge jumping (see log). But if you approach the cache from the wrong direction, you'll encounter a washed out road that requires a channel crossing. Also try Gilligan's Last Ride. There's a cool wooden bridge and a long hike on this one. Both of these caches are not in KW. But it would be an interesting stop on the way there.
  6. Have you gone there yet? I have some suggestions - "End of the Road" is first on my list.
  7. Proud classmember of 2002 here. I stop by still, but not as frequently.
  8. I was in a stuck vehicle that resulted in this memorial cache. There are more hi-res photos here. There's even a video of the memorial cache . I don't want to embarass the stuckee, but here's his license plate.
  9. I noticed that geocaching is currently (Sunday, June 10, 2007) Yahoo's #8 search item.
  10. Very interesting. For some reason, my yahoo account never receives gc.com emails. So I had to switch emails to my earthlink account.
  11. I am unable to open the zip file contained in the email. I'm not using GSAK. Is there a way to determine the specific reason a zip file is corrupt? I'll give it one more shot. I changed my email address. If it comes in at my new email address uncorrupted, I'll assume it got scrambled at my ISP somehow. Is it possible that there is a corruption in a log that's creating a corrupt zip file?

  13. Yep. Third time's a charm. All-finds PQ is corrupt again. I guess I'll give up on it.
  14. Well, I just requested my next All-Finds PQ. We'll see if there are 3 corruptions in a row.
  15. I've been getting PQs for 5 years and I just got a corrupted My Finds PQ zip file. And like RHes said, I must wait another week to get the PQ results. Bummer. I did another all-finds PQ and it was corrupt again. That's two in a row. I should add that my regular PQs are not corrupt, just the all-finds.

  17. So is there a problem with Yahoo! or not? I stopped receiving owner log notices a while back on my Yahoo! email so I changed my email address (off Yahoo!) and I receive them now.
  18. Re-downloading did not fix the problem for me. They were corrupted in the email.

  20. You guys did a great job on the mag. Now I feel guilty for not writing more articles (I wrote one).
  21. Same here. I resize until the file size gets just under 125K. Nighttime photos can be compressed a lot which results in very large dimensions that still fit under 125K.
