  8. the triquetra knot is an ancient celtic design that stands for lots of concepts, but it is mainly used to mean trinity these days. this geocoin is 2" (50mm) in diameter. most editions are sold out, but of the coolest one, the black-nickel night-glowing one, there are still some left. fully trackable at gc.com with custom icon. more info here: triquetra knot
  9. sahasrara is an ancient design made out of ovals. the result is the "1000-petal lotus" (literal translation of the sanskrit word sahasrara). well, there are not exactly 1000 petals, but still a whole lot. this geocoin is 2" (50mm) in diameter and comes with a gem stone (fake, of course). fully trackable at gc.com with custom icon. following editions are available: – matte gold (with green-blue translucent fill) – black nickel (with glow-in-the-night yellow fill) more info at sahasrara geocoin
  10. great to hear that someone likes it to this extent :-)
  11. the winter ones were the hardest to make. it is not easy to imitate the snow on a tree the way that the branches are still visible (glitter on epoxy on paritial nickel plating). this was the clostet we were able to get to ...
  12. in every batch of geocoins delivered from the manufacturer, there are some coins with minor imperfections as fine scratches, small dents, minor plating issues, etc. sometimes hardly visible. these 2nd class quality coins are still more than perfect for circulation (they are fully trackable of course). from time to time i offer such coins for a discounted price. during the next days, there will be some of these not-100%-perfect linden tree coins on sale. about 40% off the regular price for the complete set. shop link
  13. i know the person who made those coins. got his e-mail address. contact me and i will give it to you. he might be able to help you. only contact me if you mean the one on this picture.
  14. new and selling now: mirpets geocoins (linden tree): 2" x 2" (25 x 25 mm), four seasons. front side: image of the linn linden tree (switzerland, europe). back: canopy according to season: spring, summer, fall, winter. gc trackable with own custom icon. more about these coins at http://ingwer.ch/geo/coins/mirpets_en.html
  15. excellent!! you must let me know once they go on sale!
  16. wow, i got the surprise today. geocachingangel sent me a thank-you coin. i guess it is the same person as the pathtag fairy. 085 is the number on my coin. however you are: thank you so much for all!
  17. message to all who have ordered (and preordered): all coins have been shipped (also the xle cheesocoin that was delayed). as postal services are non-predictible regarding their efficiency, it may take two to four or even six weeks until they are delivered. feedback upon receipt is always welcome.
  18. the rarest ones are already gone, but there are plenty of the regular ones. it is best to add yourself to the mailing list, then you will get an e-mail way before they go on public sale and your chances are high to get hold of the xxle and xle coins.
  19. following three new geocoins (from ernies/europe) are on sale now: rainbow: triangle design with 8 translucent (suncatcher) colours, a 2" (50 mm at base) coin in different metal finishings. from $11.59. cheesocoin: the cheese coin with holes, available in 4 editions which all have night-glowing elements. width 2" = 50 mm. price from $10.04. edelweiss (an alpine flower), a micro coin (1" = 25 mm) in 3 editions with night-glow and/or glitter elements. price from $5.41. see http://ingwer.ch/geo/coins/new.html for more info. or direct shop link (you might have to change your language there first): http://fsu.ch/webshop/index.php?Kategorie_...mp;waehrung=usd shipping is according to weight and spped: priority is more expensive than economy (which will take about 1 to 2 weeks longer).
  21. it is really sad when postal services do not work the way they are intent to. it is neither the sender's nor the receiver's fault (surely not!), and it is not clear if they are stolen or got lost in another way. it is just a huge black box we cannot control. the experience with these f.o.l. coins in this regard was very disappointing: 8 envelopes got lost on their way (7 to the u.s., one to the u.k.). i think this was about 10% of all international orders. of course we could use private services like tnt, ups, fedex, ... but hey, who would pay 50 bucks just for the (international) shipping? the alternative is registered shipping. costs only about 6 dollars (depending on country), but the sender has a proof that it is sent; the receiver will have to sign; and there is a (modest) insurance that will cover up to about 150 dollars in the case of loss. i think this is a good option and i recommend everyone consider this for future coin orders, especially if you live in the u.s.a. it is fully understandable that customers want the services/goods paid for. and i want happy customers who may come back for more in the future ... i.m.h.o. a coin becomes even better when there are good emotions/experiences attached to them. happy caching!
  22. the preorder is over and the coins are really available and will be shipped as the money comes in. sorry, i have to update the webpage. the shipping is as indicated, but registered mail (optional) is strongly recommended.
  23. thanks. please note they look better in real. the polished nickel does not look so good in these pics (turns out too greyish).
