  2. my two cents, I suck at puzzles (and I really mean I suck) and I will try to solve them, but if I need a little help or that I have solved the puzzle correctly... I will email the CO and ask, failing that I Will ask another finder, not everyone is good at puzzles and if a CO didnt reply, I would find them rude, I always help or give them a hint if someone asks on mine

  9. we never go to a cache that has people around it, if someone turns up out of the blue and we get snapped then we will explain what we are doing, but my son (10) knows how to act when grabbing or looking for a cache, as I would be gutted if someone ruined my cache by not taking care around muggles
  10. we are in New Zealand, which means we are ahead of everyone, delete and relog
  11. I spend hours making handmade swag, bangles, keychains etc etc and try to place one in every cache I can, but when you do a run of 50+ a day I run low pretty quick, as I make them while watching a movi I find I cant sit down and watch one without doing something. we hardly ever take from a cache unless its something different and normally random

  15. another good option to look at is a garmin 60csx model they should be cheap as they stopped making them roughly 1.5 years ago, but we use to sell them to farmers for mapping and they worked really well under tree cover
  16. I came across this one, and it has put me off going to look for it. Found it Found it 25/Aug/2013 We thought this would be a last quick find on our way home from Whanganui, but we were wrong! We walked across the empty paddock and into very thick bush. The track goes near the house of another farmer (his driveway has the cattle stop) and he was NOT happy we were in what he seems to regard as HIS bush, and yes we had picked some tamarillos as they were growing right in the reserve (there are masses of them.) I retreated with my kids as he had a dog going bananas which was scaring them. So half of our group kept going and found the cache, while I got stuck by the road, with my kids, being ranted at by an angry farmer telling me how rude I was not asking permission to go on the reserve. And yes, it is a public reserve owned by the council as stated in the description. I showed him the geocaching listing to try to calm him down, but still got an earful. Thought it was a real shame I wouldn't want to go back as the reserve is fantastic but very overgrown and could do with help maintaining it.

  24. How do we get changes done on this site? its such a pain to click on green containers only to see that I have looked for it in the past, why cant they use blue faces like the yellow smiley faces we see, it doesnt seem hard to do if they can do it for the found it ones
  25. Hi If I come across that type of cache, I will normally bag the yuk one in a new little bag and put another log book or paper in and then let the CO know they will need to replace
