The problem we were having may have been caused by using the "Delete All" on the old page. How is the best way to delete the logged geocaches form the drafts page if you have 100 or more to log. Sometimes on a trip we do not have internet until we return home. Do we have to check 100 individual boxes to delete the drafts? Deleting the visits.txt file every time before uploading to the GPS adds a step to what is supposed to be a process improvement. Confused

I uploaded todays drafts and everything worked as it should. The first time since the new drafts page. The testing you did must have finally synced my drafts to the upload page. Only todays drafts were uploaded. The comments field was also uploaded with the drafts. Thanks.

I will leave the existing drafts in the Garmin 650 when we go out this week. I will take before and after screen shots of the upload process and let you know how it goes. The "Ignore logs before" was not showing up on the old field notes page until after I uploaded (all) the field notes, which is why I switched to the new drafts page. The wire on the container was broken and it was on the ground. We put the old log in a new container and hung it on the only tree. Here are some previous logs for this cache. On other geocaching related sites - GSAK and Cachley the developer will reply in person within a day or two. On this forum a Lackey just points you to the FAQ that says it works. I have never seen a reply that says "Yes it is broken and here is a tracking number to see when it is fixed"

We hate the new newsletter, yet another example of "fixing" what isn't broken. Please bring back the old newsletter. We are definitely wondering why we bother to remain members, especially premium.

We liked the list the way it was. Why was it changed? It used to be easy to choose the list you wanted and to add a note at the same time. Now it is a pain in the butt, as it usually is when Groundspeak decides to change something just because.

Add me to the list! Absolutely spoiling the game for me. It stinks, big time. Not all changes are good ones.

Maybe those that make all the changes are just programmers and don't geocache. They want to make the page pretty but not useful. The link for newest in our province is one of the most useful links that there is, or was. We are majorly bummed!

It does not work as well as the link for newest in our province. We love to know what events are going on all over our province and attend when we can. The method you mentioned showed 1 event compared to the 6 that are listed now. At times, the newest in our province has a whole page of events listed. We would never know what was going on.

The newest in NB is my main geocaching page! I check it every day. I do not understand why it was removed. Please bring it back!

For those geocachers who visit and locate the two available caches, one on the island of St. Pierre and Miquelon and one on the island called L'isle aux Marins, there should at the very least be a special reward such as a "souvenir". The only means to reach St. Pierre and Miquelon is by air or by ferry boat, and for most people, that means taking the five to six hour ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland, drive at least ten hours to the town of Fortune on the Burin Peninsula where you can take an additional ferry boat to St. Pierre. To reach L'ile aux Marin you must hire a boat or sign up for Jean Pierre's informative tour of this unique island and ride with him on his zodiac, which takes approximately ten to fifteen minutes longer. The alternate to the ferry to Port aux Basques is the ferry from North Sydney to Argentia, Newfoundland which is a 14 hour trip. St. Pierre and Miquelon is the only remnant of the former North American colonial empire of New France that remains under French control and has a very interesting history, some of which can be accessed by reading about the islands on Wikipedia. L'isle aux Marins is an abandoned fishing settlement which is still occupied by a few families over the summer months, although there are no phones and no electricity. There doesn't seem to be much information available online about this unique island but if you decide to visit, Jean Pierre is a very knowledgable tour guide and very proud of his heritage. It should also be mentioned that the residents here are very proud of their contribution to the Allies in both World War I and World War II and there is a memorial called "The Way of the Soldiers" on L'isle aux Marins. We are not sure how to lobby for this feature to be added for those geocachers who visit these unique islands so we thought that we should at least get a discussion started here in the forums.

We've tried the cookies and the browser history but there is no change. I can't believe it is something that we have done. We have changed nothing. I have always been able to be logged in on my iPhone and two home computers at the same time and never have a problem until there is a geocaching update. Very frustrating to say the least.

Why do we, all of a sudden, have to login everyday (or more often)even though we check the box to stay logged in? It doesn't remember our geocaching name or password as well. It's becoming a pain somewhere.

The changes made on the 14th gave way too much white space on the main page. The changes made just previous to that one were better for the look of main geocaching page. I don't understand why that was done. Is it going to be changed back?? I can see improving things that need fixing but why change the things that don't.

The best ones are the ones that have bindings that move with your footstep. Usually they are lightweight and are less cumbersome than the old fashioned snow shoes to walk in. The main thing I would say is to make sure you can get in and out of the bindings easily. You might even try it with your mittens or gloves on. Some shops allow you to rent a pair and try them out first. I have been snow shoeing for a number of years and the bindings available now, on the whole, are so much better than when I purchased mine but I have friends with newer snow shoes who find their bindings are very difficult to get in and out of, especially when they are out in the cold.
