  1. I originally posted that I put micros out so the handicapped people can get to them easy...and got flamed.

But now I see that there are so many people pissed off at micros...like they are forced to go find them. Good Grief People...if you don't like them...then don't go after them...especially the new ones I hid in the Wallmart parking lots under the lamp skirts...or the multi-stage magnetic keyholder cache that runs along Hwy 94 guard rail from Madison, wi to the west coast...or that Bison tube cache I hung in that really thorny blackberry patch...etc.

Too bad I can't put an Ammo can under a lamp skirt in a Wallmart parking lot.

  2. What exactly is it about the micro that you don't enjoy? The difficulty? The inability to trade swag?

The location. The overwhelming majority of the ones I've found were in places that I no interest in visiting

for recreational purposes. Strip malls, highway guard rails, big box store parking lots, city street corners, etc...

Micros themselves are really only a problem for people that like to trade swag...

Not true. I rarely trade, so that isn't my problem with micros (see above).

I've been putting out some micros in very easy hiding spots so the Handi-Capped people can play the game too.

What makes you think that handicap people want to find only micros?

***What makes you think that handicap people want to find only micros?***

Maybe they don't but until there is a easy place to put an ammo box for a wheel chair to reach...and not reached by muggles...that will have to do.

Now, if you have some Ideas...I'm all ears, eyes...etc...or, I'll take personal emails.

  3. Yep...a small issue indeed...but just a thought.

The only way I find out is when I get the Email saying that my cache was submitted for review...then I say "#$@^&" and quickly go back to uncheck that box.

I'll just have to remember next time. Or...put the Check Box down at the bottom where you check the other 2 boxes that say you read and understand. Then I can easily see it and uncheck it...instead of having to scroll back up.

    Thanks.

  4. Hi:

When filling out the form for a new cache...The first time I save the information, I sometimes forget to uncheck the "Yes, This Cache Is Currently Active" box.

I'm sure that the very moment I click the mouse button, Bells and Whsitles start sounding at the Geocaching Reviewers Headquaters. I can see them running from all areas of the building to man the reviewer stations with their hand on the ole-mighty rule book...only to find out the cache has not been totally completed. False Alarm...Stand Down...

Because of Fast Mouse Clicking Goof-Balls like me (no contest there)...I think that that box should default to BLANK (Unchecked)...and allow me to check it later on.

Just a Thought (Wow a First)

  7. Right now a Computer programmer (I have my own company). Basically a Jack of all trades in there...Project Manager, BA, SA...etc. I'm on a Government contract now (last 2 3/4) years doing the Medicare Part "D" system, National Provider Identifier system...and other fun medical system stuff...(AS/400 iSeries).

    Previous to that (1970's - Mid 80's), I was a Corporate Pilot. I left with 8400 hours.

Previous to that (1960's), I drove NHRA Dragsters and Funny cars. Most of the time at National Speedway and Englishtown (Raceway Park)....when it was still a runway and control tower (The Napp Brothers).

  8. ***I really hope this post was in jest... When you delete a "found it" log, you lower the find count of whoever posted the log.***

If you can't delete it because of the logs attached to it...then leave it there...but give me an option to not have Archive Caches show up on My cache page...or have some kind of Archived Database File where archived Geocaches can go...and remain for Ever and Ever and Ever (with the logs)....so I don't have to look at them for Ever and Ever and Ever. (maybe I'll request this on the WebSite Page).

  9. Out of 9 TB's I had out...They are basically gone. Missing, Archived Caches, Not logged In or Out, People logged them out and never moved them....etc.

Except for maybe using them as a 1st to find prize...I'm Not wasting anymore money on them...or Geocoins or Pathtags.
