  1. ***we,ve gave scratch lottery tickets*** The ones that wern't winners.
  2. ***I though it should be a pro sport. *** How about having the top Geocacher's picture on a Wheaties Box?
  3. 1000 https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=310
  4. ***I was just going to say that, why would ANYONE want the entire US on 1 card? Have your home area, maybe with a 200Mi radius loaded, that's more than enough. Unless you plan to do a long haul, in which case, load more. But why would you want to load it full with places you'll never make it to?*** Because I have the space on my card to load the whole USA...it DOES NOT make my 60csx any heavier.
  5. IE6 Works for me on WIndows 2000.
  6. ***One good reason is that people will try to use it as a list of people to accuse, if their cache goes missing.*** Thats a good reason? Hahahahaha Why would someone watch the cache just to rob it?
  7. Many of the Virtual Caches were far more interesting to do than many of the micros...including mine.
  8. ***It isnt necessarily about "secrecy," its more about privacy for lack of a better word*** and *** don't feel like its another persons business to reveal what I am watching.*** But yet I can click on your profiles and see what caches you did, what you hid and any pictures you took....so the Privacy stuff does not fly.
  9. ***The more appropriate question is, why would it be worth the programming cost and server load to provide this information?*** There must already be some program code that looks to see how many others are looking at your cache...and then reporting that to you.
  10. ***There is no Platinum Membership, except as the basis for some joke threads.*** Here You Go...Have Fun. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=156573
  11. ***I work in the IT field and I catch all kinds of crap when something goes wrong. NOTHING in the world will work 100% of the time.*** I work as a Project Manager (and many other hats) in the IT field...and if we implement changes to production and they cause a problem...we always have a Roll-Back plan to restore the system to where it was...and then debug the code on a Dev machine to see what might have been missed and what went wrong...and add it to the project's Lessons Learned. It is Hell to be under pressure while production is down and the customers wait...Been there done that and If I was closer, I'd bring you my emergency bottle of Extra-Strength Tums.
  12. ***Want to move into the Colorado (probably a mistake)*** Don't sell yet...Read the Colorado Problems Thread. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=183511
  13. When Trying To Get Into The Forums: http://www.geocaching.com/forums/register.aspx After a 30 second wait...It Took Me Here: http://www.geocaching.com/error/general.aspx
  14. ***I think this thread needs to be shut down*** I was the OP for this thread almost a YEAR ago. Since that post, I've received my Platinum membership and upgraded further to Radium ++ (by inventation only). I've received my engraved Wall Plaque, Geocache Decoder Ring and ID badge about a week later...along with an instructional video on the Secret Radium ++ Handshake. As a Radium ++ member, I receive 125% off Hotel and Rental car rates (They actually pay you to use their products). I receive Upcoming cache notices before they are published. I have also been invited to ring the bell at NASDAQ. I'm a very satisfied Radium ++...so this thread can be closed if needed. Good Luck To All Lesser Humans. (The only thing that I can not do as a Radium ++ member ...Is Spell correctly)
  15. I can't believe this was revived from a Year Ago....Was it because of my Platinum Upgrade?
  16. ***Either ten or twelve sides? Why not eleven sides? Or nine? Thirteen? *** Just pick your number and go to that side. ***I have NO idea what you mean by "never will everybody agree", either.*** You didn't agree...so you are part of that "never will everybody agree".
  17. ***Cool, I think I saw one of those up on eBay? *** No One in their right mind would place a bid on it....Heck, I'd probably have to pay them to take it. I ordered them from: http://www.wooden-nickel.com/
  18. I Used to have a calling card....but now I have wooden-nickels to drop off. http://www.droolingmongoloid.com/WoodenNickel.JPG
  19. ***A good attitude, combined with some simple sorting, can almost always guarantee a good time.*** You mean I can't have a good time with a rotten attitude?
  20. ***So is the only way to keep it there to have it going to a waypoint or destination ?*** Mine shows when I have selected a waypoint and press "GO". Otherwise it won't show because it has no where to point to.
  21. ***I remember "tuning the slugs"*** Wind your own with that Ferrite rod in it. ***Heath-kit*** I build an HW-100 ham transceiver.
  22. Remember, when you put new batteries in it...you always have to recalibrate the compass...turn 2 full circles. It is in tha manual.
  23. I Think you may have pressed the "Stop Navigation" menu entry Try This: Press the "Find" button Waypoints....Enter Highlight a Cache....Enter Goto....Enter Menu If you see "Resume Navigation" Highlight that and press enter...That should put it back into navigation mode and in the menu you should see "Stop Navigation"...leave it that way.
  24. ***Don't get started or soon we'll be talking about "Party Line" and hand crank telephones...LOL*** Remember when all the drug stores had Tube Checkers?
  25. ***Geez, I'm in the middle of NJ and don't get cell phone coverage in a lot of places when out in the woods.*** I used to live in Springfield, NJ (near Union, Morristown) years ago and know some of the area. Maybe it is because the Cell Phone signals can't penetrate the SMOG coming in from NY, Staten Island, Bayonne, the Exxon refineries in Linden...etc. Maybe that is why your post came across twice...confusion in the SMOG.....LOL
