  1. I would think that Japan would be a better destination for that. LOL!
  2. nope. I was in my way to Berlin for a conference and stopped in Mainz on Friday (the day pre-Giga) to see the GPS Maze Adventures (new icon for me!) and meet some friends in the evening, then. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for Saturday's giga. But I already was in Munich's Giga last year so... it didn't hurt that much
  3. Just came back from Germany: Mainz, Frankfurt and Berlin. That's two new states in Germany for me (already been in Berlin last year).
  4. I visited Andorra last weekend, and so I cached in my 20th country http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=ba32380a-7243-487c-8d2e-5f6ea72e4e4a next trips: Granada, Spain; Berlin, Germany. No new countries at least until june!
  5. Yo también estaré en Mainz, que además hay un GPS Maze
  6. What if you just don't add the second driver, but she drives anyway. We do this all the time and never had a problem. Obviously is a little risky. Btw I looked on renting a car to visit the Balcan countries but seems impossible to cross into some of them, especially Macedonia. Will keep investigating.
  7. I don't mean to be rude at all, but maybe we could leave the "profile flag collecting" thing for another thread, since it barely has anything to do with geocaching (I don't say I don't like it, but this thread is about collecting _real visited_ countries) and the thread is becoming a little less interesting. That being said, I will have a business trip to Andorra in April, which will be my 20th country
  8. We flew 1000 km to attend the Giga event in Munich last august that has been the greatest distance travelled with the solo purpose of geocaching (I've been way further but for business trips).
  9. I think this has happened to all of us in my case, I've visited 29 countries overall, and have "only" geocached in 19 of them (recently added Slovakia and Hungary). Still missing: Belgium, Monaco, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Slovenia, Croatia, Morocco, Ireland and... Andorra, which happens to be less than 2 hours by car from home (I hope to grab it soon, I just hve to find a full day to go there to find a cache in all provinces ). However travelling around Europe is quite easy and cheap, so I'm sure I will visit all of those again. I would be more concerned if I had visited USA, Mexico, Turkey, Argentina and Kosovo before I started geocaching. Luckily that was after discovering this great hobby
  10. I use skyscanner and kayak, it's always worked
  11. Just came back from my central-european trip (Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna). I successfully added two countries to my list (HU and SK), which makes 19 countries now and came back with around 40 finds. Next trip might be to Sofia - really cheap flghts from Barcelona and you can visit it during a single weekend.
  12. Portugal is on my wishlist as well, especially considering that flights from Barcelona to Porto cost less than 20€ go and return. In two days off to Budapest, Brastislava and Vienna. Can't wait
  13. Cool, I also managed to do 5 last August during the Mega. Left Spain, landed in Germany, then drove through Austria to Liechenstein and stepped onto Switzerland. It was kinda fun Funny note: it was already 8pm when we entered Switzerland and we had 3 DNF in a row there. I was already thinking we could not grab our 5th country!! But finally we succeeded:)
  14. wow! that's a lot! Right now I'm planning a trip with my gf for late January to Budapest and Vienna, with a more than probable stop in Bratislava to grab also Slovakia. I've been to these countries and places before I geocached, so now is a good time to go back that would be two more countries for me, since I already have Slovakia. PS. The cost of the tickets from Barcelona to Budapest in the dates 21-28 January is... EUR 55 (two-way). Amazing!
  15. I will also go on tour in late January. Most likely zone is Baltic countries, which would be a pack of 4 new countries for me (landing in Helsinki, ferry, renting a car to discover Estonia-Latvia-Lithuania). We'll see if this goes through. I have closed this year with a few caches in southern France. In total, I've cached in 6 new countries (Mexico, Turkey, Austria, Liechtenstein, Argentina and Uruguay) for a total of 17. Keep going!
  16. Typical end-of-year thread My goals for 2015 are: Surpass the mark of 2000 caches (currently 1487) Fill at least 70 out of 81 cells of the DT matrix (currently 63) Place two creative caches Caching at least in 4 new countries (currently 17) Keep having real fun btw this was last year's identical post for 2014! Have you accomplished your goals? (I didn't participate unfortunately).
  17. Puede ser que tengas las coordenadas modificadas por tu mismo?
  18. I too just come back from Buenos Aires - everything perfect, and I was able to succeed in finding caches both in BA and in Colonia, Uruguay. I took the ferry to there (it cost me around 60 dollars) and I could do the EC. Lots of photologs both in BA and in Colonia unfortunately... people cheats and cheats... :( Anyway I really had some fun These were my 16th and 17th countries, respectively! Arnàutil in Casa Rosada, Buenos Aires, with its cache:
  19. I just found out that while in Buenos Aires next week, iI can take a ferry to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay, for a half-day trip, so I can sum another country to my list  (these would be my 16th and 17th country). Besides, Colonia is a World Heritage Site, so it's not that I waste half a day for just another flag; looks like it will be worth it. Really looking forward to it!!!
  20. Having almost 1500 finds, I have never found a geocache in the snow or with snow around me. of course this has to do with the area I live in (next to Catalan mediterranean beaches ). But this winter we have plans to make a trip to the Pyrenees and do some caching in the snow. But my main problem in december is not the cold -which in fact I like- but the January exams. Moreover this year I'm doing a very demanding masters degree and I won't have a lot of time for going outdoors...

    Revisores

  23. Yes! Finally I've booked my trip to Buenos Aires  11/20/2014 MAD-EZE IB 6845 11:55 AM/08:45 PM 11/25/2014 EZE-MAD IB 6856 02:20 PM/ 11-26-14 06:30 AM Less than one month to go! It will be my 16th country!

    Revisores
