around the middle of August and also took my husband and then 5 mo. daughter along for the adventure. I spent more time deciding which GPS to get than actually finding the first cache. Stupidly (or indecisively), I ended up buying two (Garmin GPS V and Magellan Meridian Platinum) and now I have to try to sell one of them. We are having fun though.

Some may think that you are a smart ***, but I actually got a little chuckle from your last post. It was much needed after a long day.

I'm just getting into the adventure and am choosing between the GPS V Deluxe and Meridian Platinum. I believe I am required to get Mapsend Topo /w the MeriPlat (correct me if i'm wrong). Do I have to get Mapsource Topo or Topo USA for the GPS V or geocaching in general? Right now I'm getting impatient because I can buy the GPS V Deluxe for ~$400 and get it in one week as opposed to getting the MeriPlat and Topo for ~$357 in two weeks. Now I need to know whether the additional $80-100 for Mapsource Topo or Topo USA will make me wait the extra time for less expense.
