The health and welfare of my family mean a whole lot more to me than a piece of metal or the feelings of a former owner of said piece of metal. So yes, my family means more to ME than my "word" whatever that truly means. I think that my families well being is more than a "benefit".
I think people need to evaluate what a "gift" is, what "free" is and what "trading" is...all definitions are readily available at multiple sources online.
Yes, some people make trades in bad-faith...it happens. But, when I exchange something with someone one for something else, when I sell something, or if I give it away, I lose all rights over what is done with it. If I'm unhappy with what happens to it, that's too bad. If I never want to lose control of it, I should never let it leave my ownership.
