Maine Appalachian Trail

It's been rainy and sunny alternately during the past couple of days. Prime rainbow weather! Hope the Geo-Leprechaun can make it to New Brunswick!

The health and welfare of my family mean a whole lot more to me than a piece of metal or the feelings of a former owner of said piece of metal. So yes, my family means more to ME than my "word" whatever that truly means. I think that my families well being is more than a "benefit". I think people need to evaluate what a "gift" is, what "free" is and what "trading" is...all definitions are readily available at multiple sources online. Yes, some people make trades in bad-faith...it happens. But, when I exchange something with someone one for something else, when I sell something, or if I give it away, I lose all rights over what is done with it. If I'm unhappy with what happens to it, that's too bad. If I never want to lose control of it, I should never let it leave my ownership.

This whole thread reminds me of why I have no interest in trades OR gifts with strings attached. If I have to cross my heart and hope to die, etc to get a coin, then I really don't want it.

why is everyone assuming it's an eye? has there been any indication at all that guessing any sort of eye is close? Just seems too obvious for something that is supposed to be difficult....

We got a wonderful islander1988 GW5 geotag on our trip to Raleigh and we had never seen a geotag before. I'm sorry that some people feel that these items are of lesser value or quality, but making that a statement of fact rather than a statement of opinion may be unfair. In my opinion the geotags are as nice or nicer than some of the coins, micro or otherwise that we have seen. I don't mind someone disagreeing with me, as it is their choice. I do have a problem with someone telling me that I am wrong. As with any coin, sig item or whatever, it is a matter of personal choice. There are plenty of "valuable" coins out there that I have no interest in and are of no value to me. Am I wrong to feel this way? I would think that, as with any collectable, personal choice is the ultimate guide to value.
