  1. This just in ... RocketMan showing the effects of years of exposure to liquid oxygen. So sad. Note to Self: Good thing he didn't wear those unbunched socks in San Diego County. Note two Self: Y' can't get this kind of good stuff on Facebook.
  2. Are you saying if poor ol' Harmon wants to keep playing with us, he is going to have to go over to the dark side (FB)? That'll be the day my friend, email with cell-phone snapshots, don't think so. Truth is I maintain a photo website on a server in London and a photo gallery on Google+. Michael is sending me a DVD backup of the San Diego Geocacher site and I'll take good care of it by backing it up on one of my Cloud accounts. After all, it's the memories, not the images. Serious photographers have fled the Facebook scene in favor of Google+ where large images are supported. Cell-phone cameras are causing chaotic changes for professional photography ... driving the practitioners into journalistic and advertising fields rather than portrature and special-occasion engagements. Sea change going on ... cell-phone cameras and tablet computers are driving point-and-shoot and DLSR cameras, and desktop computers into a dark corner. The days of well composed and properly post-processed images will soon be a thing of the past for the general public. For me, I'm keeping busy with development of a new encryption technique using depth-mapped 3D images. Still, I do miss the interaction we once had with the Geocaching Forum. So it goes, Harmon SD Rowdies
  3. Michael, You've been a prince by supporting the site for such a long time. I would step in but for nine grandchildren and my sweet ex-nun bride. I've seen some images of late showing your recent activities you rascal you. Live it up pal, Harmon SD Rowdies Are you referring to my awesome Utilikilt Harmon? Don't tempt me Michael ... you know what photos I have! Note to Self: Hate t' see an ol' man go bad like this.

  5. I'm afraid that HMS Bounty is no more -- so there are no more rope thingies to pull on. 14 crew were rescued (including a former member of our crew at the Maritime Museum.) Two remain missing. One found since but unresponsive.
  6. Hey James, There's some openings aboard tall-ship H.M.S. Bounty you might be interested in. Lot's of rope thingies aboard the Bounty for you to pull on. Just so you know, Harmon
  7. This just in ... 3D depth-mapped head-to-waist image of renowned San Diego County Geocacher
  8. Relinked the image. You're darn right you do! wait til you see the one that I just made for you!!!!! I might even post a picture here for you to see...... PS....I think my patent pending is almost posted! Patented? by any chance do you own an iPhone? As you might expect I'm anxious to see a picture or pictures of your work. Show me yours and I'll show you mine. Harmon this was made with you in mind: Ouch! ... at least y' didn't name the old bird you apparently associate me with. By th' way, who learnt y' t' post an image anyway? Seems like I've seen that Old thingy before.
  9. O what th' heck ... Here, I threw in another one but that's it, otherwise you have to visit the gallery for a full showing Note to Self: I won a prize with this one. Note two Self: My first-ever painting. Note three Self: Made the frames on my old Shopsmith.
  10. Spooky Halloween ... Jodi & John, Just to show you how fair I am about showing mine ... here's a photo of one of my paintings. It hangs in the Sweet ol' Harmon Art Gallery. As I recall, Jodi, you pretended to like it when you viewed the gallery some time ago.

  12. This just in ... From the Twilight Zone ... I'm not sure why but it feels like I'm being watched. Note to Self: Haunted by my measely little find-count. Note deux Self: Once upon a log time ago I had more finds than those two dynamic duos. Note trois Self: Where did I go wrong? Note quatre Self" I knew we we would be sorry that we installed those two little designer windows. Note cinq Self: So it goes.
  13. Nice work, Harmon! Say, BlondHiLites, that outfit in the painting would be great for you at the next M*A*S*H event. Well, you know, if you happen to show up when you promise to. Kiss-kiss, Sweet ol' Harmon
  14. Yeah, I agree! Aw, shucks ma'am, you say the nicest things.
  15. This just in ... To know him is to love him!
  16. OUCH !!!! You OK after that ? Can't wait 'til somebody begs for the hat-story. For now I'll just say that I figured out a way to take my mind off of my painfully bruised heel. For a teaser let me just say that it was the fault of Team LSD; you know, sort of.
  17. Another tree creepy ... You are never alone in the forest, tree creepies are watching you.
  18. This just in ... It was just one of those things, just one of those crazy flings. One of those bells that now and then rings, just one of those things.
  19. For some reason I can't figure out a LLOT photo is most-often used when I'm experimenting with Photoshop techniques. Probably LLOT photos are the most abuse-worthy... By the way, have you noticed that the horizontal center strip of the image (both the sky/trees and the rock itself) are evocative of Mandelbrot sets? See there, one of my most informed admirers if admirer you be. That's the sort of thing that happened with the Iron Mountain sand image I've shown several times; you know, with all of the obscure but interesting faces. Mandelbrot was a clever ol' fellow. I like clever ol' fellows. Note to Self: Whoohoo, I generated a Mandelbrot Set without even trying.
  20. Hmmm...As I recall, you had used Photoshop to remove the guy in the background with the red shirt. It's seems that he was just hiding... Ha! fooled you, there were two guys in red tees in that image but I removed only one, or to be precise I removed one and added one. Story of my life, nobody notices poor ol' Harmon. Spent half my youth on a Greyhound bus trying to catch up with my mother and stepdad. I often wondered why they always moved after I went to bed and fell asleep. On the good side I developed a terrific sense of direction. For some reason I can't figure out a LLOT photo is most-often used when I'm experimenting with Photoshop techniques. It won't seem obvious from the image above but in this case the experiment has to do with mirroring cityscapes so's they seem to be at lakeside. All I need now is a cityscape image as opposed to your rock-pushing image.
  21. This just in ... James of LLOT surely gets around.
  22. This just in ... Winslow Homer: Another FTF, rock wall ammo-can.
  23. This just in ... Winslow Homer: His first Geocache FTF. Note to Self: Ain't art wonderful?
  24. Rats! I got over excited and double-pumped a "Save Changes." Note to Self: Stoopid! Note twa Self: To be Tony Maloney y' need a fedora.
