  1. Is it possible to create a querry of all the caches a particular cacher has hid. If this is a stupid question dont all pile on me at once.
  2. Thank you JABs. I have been getting the same message worded a little different but still the same. Also now when I click on the Google map feature it goes straight into that message so now it is TOTALLY USELESS. But to use the feature I have to open Firefox and use GC.com in that browser. VERRY VERRY FRUSTRATING.
  3. Good morning all its 658 AM here in beautiful downtown Arden. A light bulb just went of when I was thinking about out map problem. I have IE and Symentec and also I have Netscape. In IE the map problem is there and I cant use the Google Earth Maps BUT when i switch to Netscape it works just fine. So here is my question for those of you who know things. In the Options feature of IE on the advanced tab there are quite a few checkmarks you can put in or take out. Because Im not that advanced in these things I usually leave them alone. COULD ONE OF THESE BE THE CULPRIT.?????
  4. I was very concerned when I turned off my auto detect on semantec. Then I quickly tried to use the maps and it still panned too fast and also did that annoying "parsing caches" thing. Then I quickly turned back on my auto detect. I hope someone can soon find a solution. Maby someone in Seattle who is having that problem on a laptop can contact Opinionated and show him what is going on??????? Thanks to everyone for their concern.
  5. Please add me to the list of nonfunctioning geocaching google maps. It does not work in Internet Explorer. But when I switch to Netscape it works fine and that is on the same computer. I know we are in the minority with 1% not working right but we still are premium members so please take us seriously. Thank you
  6. Well Ozguff it seems like it was you who came to this forum asking fellow cachers what their opinions were. And I would assume that you were looking for support for what you are doing. So please don’t complain when one of the other cachers involved in your little hissy fits try’s to give his side of the story. Atrus asked a legitimate question when he said where has the fun gone. And I agree with him it left when you moved to Asheville. You came in like a sandlot bully trying to impose your caching styles on other people. You started out on me early on. In a cache called Haunted Hovel I logged online that I went there one evening after 6PM and that quite a number of older men were hanging around and I felt very uncomfortable when one started following me around. Without my request the cache owner disabled the cache. Then you immediately e-maild the owner to relist it since you hadn’t found it yet. Then when you went to find the cache you berated me saying if I feel uncomfortable I should get in my car and run. The current fuss comes from a cache called stop and go. I heard from a friend that he was going to relist an archived cache well it didn’t take much to find out which cache it was going to be, so on the way to dinner my wife and I stopped and sure enough it was there and I signed the log as FTF and when the cache came up I explained this and logged it. Just as you did on one of JR’s caches. You went out early hoping to be FTF but when you found out I beat you, you threw a temper tantrum and just put co-ordinates on the logs. The cache owner asked you to write something even it its just “ TFTC quick find” and you replied with (.). Then every cache you found of this cachers you put just the dot. So the cache owner started putting a logging requirement on his caches. And what did you do, you typed the bill of rights about free speech on your log, but nothing about the cache. So he deleted it. OzGuff this is so sad because you are a very good person and you have done a lot for the Geocaching Community and I so admire you for it. You have hidden at least 70percent of the caches within 20miles. You have some unique cache series such as the Alchemist and the DeLorme challenge. So I’m asking you to please try to reconcile width the other cachers and lets make caching Fun again here in the mountains.
  7. Hmmmmmm someone either has no sex life or too much time on their hands to be counting when GC will run out of 4 digit numbers................
  8. Wow that looks like a great place thanks for the info.
  9. Congratulations on forming your group and we wish you much success. I hope to come out of the mountains soon and again seek new caches in Greenville.
  10. The army publishes Firing Tables for all of its weapons. They are little books around the size of a paperback novel. I dont know if they are publicly available. But they list the cannon ie M68 105nn and give the shell charecteristic and how far the shell will travel at given trejectory angles. The Isralies made extesive use of this during their wars with their neighbors by using Tanks as indirect artillary and also the United States used this practice during the Korean War. Tanks were able to move in and set up quicker than conventional artillary pieces.
