  1. Great Pictures... Got some container ideas by looking at them. I don't know how to add pictures to posts so sorry....
  2. Tix&Chiggers = Yakuza Smurf... What the hell does that mean???
  3. I too cache alone. I sometimes take my dog, but he's only 20# and not yet a year old. Somethings that I do to feel safer are: 1. Let people know where I'm going. 2. Try to stay in reasonable areas. NO long or major hikes involved. Cuts down on fun some, but logic is sometimes the wiser move. 3. Carry a cell phone incase you get injured, lost or otherwise need help. 4. Survey your surroundings before you embark on your search. 5. Pay attention to who and what is around, and not just to the GPS in your hand. It stinks that we women have to go it alone, but at least we are adventurous enough to try.
  4. Sorry you were hurt, but here's my 2 cents worth. 1 - definitely notify them of the pipe 2 - clean that wound... yuk... tetanus shot is a great idea. 3 - remember you cache at your own risk, hence the disclaimer on cache pages, so at least, include the killer pipe in your log so others are aware of it's presence. 4 - litigate, no way. don't waste your time and money... that's more time and money you can spend doing more caches. meanwhile i hope your leg is better.
  5. www.texasgeocaching.com has some great examples of micro logsheets. They have an excellent website.
  6. We've have a big increase in the number of micros recently, but that's ok. They have logs, I just wish people wouldn't put micros where a traditional cache could be hidden. I plan to use micros AKA Magnetic Key Keepers to give coordinates of a traditional cache. I have 4 micros that will include the coordinates to the traditional cache.
  7. Evidently I'm not the greatest hider of all times in my area. Recently, I've been getting frustrated because I spent a good amount of time hiding caches and it seems everyone wants to tell me that my coordinates are off. I really don't think they are off, and have rechecked them. I leave peoples posts alone for the most part because sometimes they do contain information that will help someone else find the cache. I'm doing the best I can with them. I can't help it if people can't find the container!!!
  8. OOPS! At least the officer was nice about it. Hee hee, funny that he knew about Geocaching. Some people are too clueless for their own good.
  9. You know you're addicted when you're short on funds, but still spend $90 on cache materials for the breakfast event you are hosting... BEEN THERE DONE THAT. It was so worth it....
  10. I guess I'm adicted because I've already acquired a Folgers container from work and I do like dollar stores. I'm planning on painting that Folgers container. I wonder how waterproof it will be....
  11. Is there anyway to search for locationless caches from the homepage? I do a zipcode search then click on "locationless." There should be a way to just click on locationless and go there without a big hassle. Is there one and I'm just missing it???
