I recently spotted a photocopied geocoin with the tackable code on it with the note on it saying, keep me moving and that the original was stolen. Cool, weird, opinions? I have a few new geocoins that I really do not want to lose. I was thinking about photocoying the front and the back on nice card stock and getting it laminated and then attach a "move me" note along with the code to log it. I would keep the original. Weird, Cool, Opinions?

Hello there everyone out there in geocaching land! I want to set up my very first geocaching event. My idea is to have it be a potluck and set up a time to meet. I want it to be in a park where there are not a lot of caches set up yet because I want to plaster it with new caches for the event. How do I do this? I know you have to submitt them but do I post a reviewer note saying its for the event? Does anyone have any other ideas or tips for me????

I am having a bunch of problems too. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. The bars on my phone are green when I reset the gps or when I first pull up the app, but then it goes to all red. no clue why. The coordinates are the same in degrees but then are very off with the min and the sec. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have any ideas? GGggrrrrrr I hate paper caching but its all I have been able to do. help?

Ok guys, I have been paper caching for the past few years and I'm ready to move forward into better territory. I already have a Tungsten T3 by Palm and I am supposed to get my new Garmin today Vista HCx. How in the world do I know which software I need??? I am a premium member and I know there are certain perks accociated with that including some downloads. So please, what do I need to download and where to get this thing working? The idea of having bunches of geocaches right on my PDA is just too cool to not try to figure out. I am sick of spending hours writting each and every cache out via pencil and paper. Thanx!

Another question, will this work with the Garmin Communicator?? Do I need anything else besides the download and the GPS unit?

Anyone have experience with this model? I am thinking of buying it. One thing is that I have never been able to use and connection to my computer from my GPS before, this has that capability. My question is this, what exactly is it that you can download, is it just a dot on the map or can you download the entire page about that geocache, last 5 logs, initial information. Do you get just get the coordinates? I'm really curious. I'd love to get away from paper caching, it is so time consuming!

Any chance you have the ability of creating a geocaching kitty? I have no artistic talent whatsoever!

Hello there guys, really need your help. I get the traditional caches and usually do not have a problem with them but with the caches where you have to figure out the coordinates, I can't seem to find the place on a map. I have the coordinates right but is there any type of internet thing where I can just type in the coordinates and the place will pop up on a map for me???? I spent 2 hours today of hiking around trying to get a FTF when I realized that I had been looking at the wrong place completey. Then I found myself wanering around aimlessly through the neighborhood with no luck. I'm so very frustrated! Please help.

Hey there guys, I've only been geocaching for a few weeks now and I'm just about ready to go hunting for my first benchmark. I'm not sure if I have already found one though. I was out at cub scout day camp and I found a sign along with a metal disc saying "Department of the Interior Cadastral Survey Department of Land Managment T 15SP2E 1997 AP1D ANy help would be greatly appreciated
