  1. you might want to also look into beelinegps at http://www.visualgps.net/BeeLineGPS/ I have the axim x51v and use beelinegps to find my way to the cache as well as do the paperwork. It lets you view all the html info etc and lets you mark various stats and notes regarding the cache. I have not used the other programs the guys above have mentioned, but I have used a few others. Once I found beelinegps I quit looking it does everything I need.
  2. check out beelinegps at http://www.visualgps.net/BeeLineGPS/ you get a 30 day trial. I use it with my x51v and BT GPSr. the software does everything I need. You can import loc/gpx files project waypoints etc etc. Ive tried out several different PDA geocaching software and none have come close to the ease of use and feature set that beelinegps offers. hope that helps
  3. i use the dell axim x51v. it has the fastest processor of any PDA comes with WIFI, bluetooth VGA screen. I use it for geocaching and for daily pda use. Its a nice unit and one of the most feature rich PDA's currently available.
  4. hello, Im thinking about picking up a GPSMAP 60CSx and was wondering what map types it accepts. Can I upload any jpg, GIF type map and calibrate it. or does it only use a certain type of map. also, currently i geocache using my dell axim x51v and appropriate HW/SW it does a pretty decent job of getting me to the cache, but once i zero in to around 50 feet its very jumpy especially if i stop moving. I have to walk back and forth several times to get a good idea of where the cache is.. Im looking for a strong GPS unit that is precise to as close of a distance as GPS can get while im standing or moving slowly. Do you guys think the 60csx can do this.?? ive read a lot of good things about this unit!! any advice would be appreciated. thanks
  5. sounds like you need the right Drivers for your unti. if you got a CD with your device try installing it. If that doesnt work, go into device manager in windows and you should see something with a yellow ? on. right click on it choose properties and then choose update driver, when asked point to the CD you got with your device.
