  1. I am dealing with this same problem. I can get them from the individual cache pages but it takes longer. I use the GPSr because of it's accuracy and we live where there is no good wireless reception. It kind of feels like being pushed away from your fav. hobby.
  2. I'm having a new problem with the Send To My GPS option. I still use my dedicated GPSr, the Magellan eXplorist, and while I can no longer load caches using FireFox browser, it still works using Internet Explorer, of all things. Lately, the Send To My GPS button on the map no longer works and I have to go to the cache page and use the Send To... button there. Is it going to stay like this? While I realize that a lot of geocachers now use smartphones in the field, a LOT of us still prefer a GPSr, as they are always more accurate than the apps. Believe it or not, some of us still live in areas that don't have reliable cell service so trying to switch to a smartphone makes no sense for us.
  3. I agree with almost everything you say here. For those of us who don't have a smartphone because we live where it isn't offered, it really looks like GS is trying to push us away. It seems very apparent to me that the techies have zero interest in anyone who isn't using a smartphone. For me, they have made it so I can't even load caches with my Magellan, using the Firefox browser. I am stuck using Internet Explorer, of all things. Talk about a giant step backwards.
  4. At first glance, it seems like a LOT of things have been dropped from the logging page. It will take time to find them and get used to the new page but I'll adapt. As for trackables, you've made it tedious enough that I won't be messing with trackables in the future. There is one feature that I don't like. As a cache owner, I do NOT want people adding coordinates to logs. An app will never be as accurate as a dedicated GPSr and nobody should be able to 'correct coordinates' except the cache owner. I will continue to request that cachers remove any coordinates they have added in logs on my caches. People need to learn to expand the search. [] I'm still trying to figure out why my Magellan eXplorist will no longer load caches from the site using the Mozilla browser and will only work using Internet Explorer. []
  5. I am having the same problem with my Magellan eXplorist for the last 2 days. It just says 'Magellan communicator not detected' and it's there and running. Very frustrating.
  6. The map icons on the new MapBoxStreets are completely dead...all of them. This is not the usual intermittent problem that happens sometimes, this is completely different. The functions are not working at all. I have reloaded the page, zoomed in and out, etc...not working on my computer or my touch screen tablet. It makes no difference which map I try, all icons are dead.
  7. We will be coming over to Wisconsin on the Badger night cruise and it would be nice if there were a couple of not too hard caches within short walking distance of the dock. It seems the closest one is several blocks away, which would be fine except this will around midnight. We'll probably go after it anyway if nothing closer pops up before August.
  8. I have a Magellan Triton 200 that has been working fine. I recently became a premium member so a lot more info gets added when I load geocaches. Today I kept getting this fatal application error warning every time it connected with the satellites, "OutdoorNav.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down." Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?
