  1. Harmon will do Anything to get next to ewe This is SO true! He BACKED UP into lil' ol' sweet innocent me once!
  2. Now those look like SD Rowdies! Uhmm ... moving right along. I dunno, that blond with the highlights looks kinda familiar. Notice how the one on the right is about t' shoot her fanger off. She came up from south-bay for the tea party. ____________________________________________________________________________ I'm laughing so hard, I'm crying!! say, can you fix up the 'backside' image in the mirror? ____________________________________________________________________________ just noticed the picture on the table!!! hahahahahaha! I wonder why that petite brunette lady is smiling. Hmmm ... has an innocent look on her face, too. She's probably the one ya gotta watch, tho, huh? I mean ... ya know the type, right ol' buddy?
  3. I don't know about the usual suspects ... there seems to be quite a few unusual ones in here if ya ask me!
  4. Mebbe LPCs should be against the law?? Who wants t' go pick 'em all up? Who wants to go give some lessons on how to be stealth when needed? I mean, seriously ... when you're out in the middle of nowhere and come upon a large shrub, there isn't much need to be stealth. However, when in a busy parking lot chances are there might be people watching. I think someone broke the stealth law, don't you?
  5. CONGA RATS to all of you GEOCACHING MACHINES! WOWZA!!
  6. Barrie dear, I'll let you know f'r sure ... must be they are going to mail my invitation. Haven't heard a word so far. Maybe my phone is dead. Hope they hand out T-shirts too ... ripped mine to ribbons while up on the peak. Not good t' nod off like that while squatting on a high ledge. Your pal, Harmon Harmon, ol' buddy? I got to thinkin' today ... and now I'm wondering if there's gonna be a banquet at all. Yeah, I know you did the HoF thing on that mountain n' all. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! But ya see ... when people throw honorees a party, they kinda expect you to be there. Now, the last time I recall you bein' honored for a great accomplishment was at the SMACKDOWN Event ... and apparently that wasn't a good day for you to be out partying. I recall everyone being incredibly bummed that you weren't able to be there. Might I kindly suggest dropping a few SUBTLE hints as to your availability. Ya never know, it might help. Oh, and I almost forgot! You also might want to consider sharing your T-shirt ideas, in terms of design. Imagine if someone got such an important T-shirt all wrong, ya know? Mhmm, throwin' parties is alot of work ... as I'm sure you know very well. You've probably been to ... uh, nevermind. Just trying to be helpful, Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
  7. Congrats to SD Rowdies for entry into the Iron Mountain Hall of Fame!! O.k., the lines are open ... I'll be sitting here by my computer watching for the congratulatory admiration to roll in. I'll be taking names of course .... Congrats, Harmon, on the Iron Mountain Hall of Fame AND on the double epiphany!! Congratulations to all the Hall of Famers!!! Just gotta throw out a big congrats to Harmon for completing all the caches at Iron Mountain and now being an official member of the IMHoF..What an inspiration! CONGA RATS to my ol' buddy, Harmon! You are an inspiration ... and highly deserving of a PUD cake at your Awards Banquet! Let me know when it is, and I'll bring you one!
  8. Hee-hee-hee, just wait until he sees his misprint card as well. This layout brought the situation that I always feared ... very few photographs of the honoree, only one in fact. Fortunately Tom had a concept ready and waiting and from that point on I was off and running with designs for Tom's consideration and approval. Kind of fun producing a layout from bits and pieces. Dreaming up a concept for the misprint was especially enjoyable ... having to imagine what graphical feature might clearly encapsulate the very idea of a "lost guy?" Viewers might recognize the background scene for the official TNG #14 card. As always, Tom, thanks for asking, Harmon Well, it was about time for me to hit the sack when all of a sudden I needed to change into my Yrium Hunt Attire because LostGuy had finally been honored on a Yrium card . Yep, so I had to hightail it up there, and my friend TheIronMom offered to drive (since I was half asleep already). My oh my ... I had no idea how fast those Tundra trucks can go! It seemed like we arrived at Max's in under 10 mins . Now I'm safely home, and ready for bed ... but I wanted to mention real quick what a wonderful job Tom and Harmon have done, yet again. Impressive, to say the least. The misprint really made me smile. Bravo! Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
  9. I'll be praying for a full recovery! Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
  10. She found this cache during an 8.8 mile hike up, down and around Gower Peak. Total elevation gain was 4,376 ft. That was an adventurous hike! WooooooHoooooooooooo!!!! That's awesome! Keep it up. Congrats, luv2bake, on 1000!! With 1K finds luv2bake must now change her name to luv2cache! Congratulations, luv2cache!!! Way to go luv2bake (luv2cache) CONGA RATS to luv2bake on your first 1K!
  11. Well, I live here so I am here all the time. But I am curious to know when my SD buddies are gonna be here. Awww, I wish I could head up there right now ... but alas, my calendar won't allow it . I bet it won't be long before some of my geo-buddies venture out that way. Hmmm, some of them do seem to like that element of surprise thing, tho . Yeah, we're generally a pretty stealth group . Maybe if you offered to make 'em some cinnamon rolls they'd make a move on it quicker! That's how I usually gain interest in these parts, lol. Just trying to be helpful, Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
  12. Doesn't sound that fun to me. After about 50 or 100 it seems like it would get pretty boring. Am I the only one who doesn't find this appealing? I'm surprised at the quantity, too--I thought there were limits on power trails these days, anyway. Personally, I'd go with some of my fun geo-buddies (not the boring ones) ... less chance of me boring them, right? I don't recall a time I've been bored geocaching, tho. Ya know that ol' saying about attitude ... "Life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it"? Well, I think of that ALOT when I'm out geocaching! I've been out in that new power cache trail area, and I had a great time. The surroundings were beautiful, I thought. I'd go back in a heartbeat! boysnbarrie
  13. Way to go lulu499 on 6,000 Congrats to lulu499 for 6K! You go girl!!! I was so excited I let FlagMan kiss me! WTF? CONGA RATS! Wahoo! 6000 for lulu499 ... she's just incredible!
  14. What? Nuts on cinnamon buns you say? Literally, backpedaling means pedaling a bicycle in reverse so that you travel backwards. In a figurative sense, it means that after you have said something you wish you hadn't said, you begin to deny that you said it, or claim that you didn't really mean what you said, or claim that the other person misunderstood you, etc., etc. Yes, there are indeed cinnamon rolls on the line now ... an order has been placed for a future date where my supporters will gather. I will revisit this matter with pictures of my achievement. If Mister Kwvers would like to issue me yet ANOTHER Certificate of Achievement following this occasion ... a cinnamon roll might find it's way into his future. In the meantime, I've been thinking about Jodi and how she makes these incredible cache trails for dear ol' Harmon. I have a number of cache containers here, and now I think I know just what to do with them. Jodi, you've inspired me! Cache #1 - Hush Your Mouth, AGAIN! Cache #2 - I can't do WHAT? Cache #3 - Are you SERIOUS? Cache #4 - Open mouth ... insert foot Cache #5 - YOU want a Cinnamon Roll? LOL! etc., etc ... Barrie aka: boysnbarrie Barrie...I have an idea...lets go in my 4WD with YOU driving and place this wonderful cache series..... O no! ... not Jodi and Barrie on the same mission, puh-lease.? Might as well invite Janie while you're at it. My years are numbered and few. E-mail sent. Barrie

  17. Proof positive ... Barrie in the Squeeze! That should settle this matter. By the way, Kwver, thanks for taking the heat off of me for a while. Harmon, I can't stop smiling! Once again, you've gone the extra mile to help me settle this matter. Thank you so much for watching my back, ol' buddy! I owe ya a PUD cake! Barrie aka: boysnbarrie Barrie, The thing is that I hate to see you spending time messing around at the Squeeze when your time can be better spent baking PUD cakes. A person of average intelligence can see that baking a PUD cake is far less likely to bang up a perfectly good schoolbus as opposed to squeezing it. ... the schoolbus that is. Comes down to this ... once you drive your 4WD rig through the Squeeze, what have y' got to show for it? I'll tell y' what you've got, just another picture of a 4WD vehicle in the Squeeze. Shoot, if y' want a picture of your 4WD vehicle in the Squeeze ... just let me know and I'll 'shop it for y'. Duh. Yeah-yeah, I know ... the fun is in the doing it with a gang of good friends. Either way, life is good. Harmon I greatly appreciate your sage wisdom, Harmon ... so much so, that I decided I needed to think this whole thing over a bit more. It is true that baking PUD cakes is far less likely to cause body damage to vehicles - point taken. I agree with you. Where I tend to disagree, my dear friend, is the point you made re: "what have y' got to show for it?" Hmmm. It wouldn't be a picture that I'm after, that's for sure. No, it's something much bigger than that. I've struggled with self doubt most of my life. I'm not sure why, or how, but geocaching has played a huge role in changing the way I look at myself in terms of skills and abilities. I doubt myself far less now than I did just a few years ago. I want to try new things. My fearful tendencies are no longer at the forefront of my thoughts. I'm much more open to experiencing adventure now. So, you see ... I've been working at putting self doubt behind me; the last thing I need is for one of my friends to suggest I'm not capable of doing something. Ten years ago, I probably would have said to myself, "Yeah, he's right ... I probably can't drive a 4WD." But now? I immediately asked him if he was kidding ... he wasn't. I've been asked by a few of my closest friends, "Just because he said that doesn't mean you have to prove him wrong, does it?" Well, I think if I didn't ... that self doubting would always be in the back of my mind, and I just can't allow that to happen. I may need to place a cache titled something like: "Open Mouth Insert Foot" or something along those lines. Any suggestions? Barrie aka: boysnbarrie Barrie dear, Well said, you are on the right track and all of us are pulling for you. The truth behind all of the kidding is that we are delighted with your willingness to take on challenges. Putting a challenge on you is just another way of showing that we believe that you are ready and will- ing to meet any challenge. On a personal level I truly appreciate the fact that you and other gals can dish it out as well as take it. For some reason that I fail to under- stand I seem to catch more flack from you Geocaching ladies than most guys. Of course I don't mind that at all except that when I lie upon my Self-absorbing pillow at night my tears get the hay all damp and smelly. So far my favorite story about you is that day up toward Otay Mountain when I offered to explain how to identify poison oak to a group of you ladies, and opened my presentation by saying "Barrie, if you will move your right foot off of that plant there we can get started." That's the moment when I gained deep respect for your truck-driving ability ... 'cause you sure knew how to express yourself long-haul style. Shi-ut! Your pal, Harmon Ahhh yes, memories of Otay Mountain ... I will never forget that day. What a great group of people, too! I think I had the best seat tho, mhmm. I do vaguely recall the poison oak lesson ... but from the deep recesses of my memory banks, I only remember being in awe of your teaching style as you schooled me on all I'd ever need to know about PO. Then of course there was the PUD cake, whipped cream, and ... Woah! Is this some sort of subliminal message? Ohhh, I get it now!! YOU want hay for your pillow ... not an ol' PUD cake! No worries, ol' buddy! You've got my back, and I've got yours! I'll call the Feed n' Grain! Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
  18. WooooooooHoooooooo!!! CONGA RATS to Triple Crown on 5K!!

  21. I will see if I can get out there in the next few days. boysnbarrie
  22. Thanks Chuck and Splashete! I checked out The Squeeze ... but it appears to be disabled. Hmmm, it looks like no one has been to this cache in 2+ years due to the rules at ABSP. Hmmm, I wonder if the hide might possibly still be there. By the way ... I can't help but wonder if there are others out there who have been told (by said un-named individual) that they too cannot do <fill in the blank>. Or am "I" the only one being picked on, and told what I can't do! I read all of the logs on the SQUEEZE hide, and lo and behold ... no "FOUND IT" log written by said un-named individual. Ain't that interesting? First things first, tho ... I need to arrange a 4WD cache outing with some geo-buddies who believe in me. Perhaps someone who loves PUD cake or CINNAMON ROLLS might be willing to give me a lesson in 4WD, I dunno. Let it be known that I am a professional driver with a Class B license, air brake and passenger endorsements. Um, I also passed a first aid test . If I can drive a bus load of middle and high school teenagers with minimum difficulty ... do ya think I can manage a 4WD? Hmmm. After the Original Smackdown Team conquered a certain challenge re:Szar Foyo at night ... said un-named individual wasn't quite the same afterwards. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who noticed. Then ANOTHER group showed him up too! Poor guy. Hmmm, he did ask for it, tho, didn't he? Yep ... he sure did. Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
  23. The squeeze would prove them wrong. If you are up to it, that is. The squeeze, eh? Hmmm, I don't know about this ... I don't think anyone should be squeezin' me while I'm driving, Skillet! Have you forgotten ... I'm a professional driver! No distracting! Hey, you got a 4WD I can borrow for this latest challenge, Mister Skillet? Hmph, can you believe that silly guy is doubting my abilities AGAIN? Unbelievable, I say! boysnbarrie Ok,So we are driving in her car Sunday afternoon and she runs over what possibly was a small piece of rubber in the road and it hits her undercarriage...What's that? she shreaks looking in the rear view mirror as she starts to slow down on the hightway..It's nothing...keep going Barrie and remembering the times we have bottomed out and heard rocks hit the bottom of our Jeep I utter..."You never could drive a 4WD". She becomes unglued and begins muttering something about how she can not believe I would say she couldn't do something...I suggested that she buy a Rubicon etc but she didn't go for that...I see...now she wants to borrow someone else's 4wd to prove that she can handle it...hmmm Barrie dear, You might mention to that doubting-James guy that I can submit photographic evidence that shows you driving a tricked-out 4WD vehicle over very rough terrain. Those who doubt have obviously not been following these forums...here's a reminder of what you've missed: Words escape me ... I'm so moved by this outpouring of support. My phone has even been ringing with people offering their 4WD vehicles! This is just incredible!! Thank you, Barrie PS - Harmon? I was wondering if you happened to catch a picture of who we were with during our trip to the moon ... I could have sworn you snapped another pic once he got more comfortable in his surroundings.
  24. The squeeze would prove them wrong. If you are up to it, that is. The squeeze, eh? Hmmm, I don't know about this ... I don't think anyone should be squeezin' me while I'm driving, Skillet! So what sort of 4WD photo would you like to be seen in? Harm p.s. So you're saying that you've never, ever been squeezed while driving. Is that really true? Harmon, ol' pal ... I forgot about those pictures you took! Woah, I must be getting fergitful. Hmmm, I reckon any picture would be fine ... you are such a fine photographer with a keen eye for the perfect shot. I need to skeedaddle off to my slumber now, but I know I can trust you ol' buddy! I am looking forward to seeing it in the morning. Zzzzz, Barrie aka: boysnbarrie
