  1. I've had two memorable (?) incidents--was caching in Williamsburg, VA, in July a few years ago and ended up with chigger bites all over my legs. It seems that since childhood, I've developed an allergy and ended up with silver-dollar-sized blisters. Spent a very hot summer caching in sandals. Another time went caching alone to a site with large boulders--an unusual site here in Northern Virginia. I was climbing over one, slipped and conked my noggin on another. Fortunately I did not lose conciousness, but I've not been the same since (at least that's what my SO says!).
  2. [Marky, My Explorist 210 just died and given that I already have MapSend and liked the logical layout of the Magellan as compared to my friend's Garmin, want to stick with Magellan. I just called my Walmart and they don't have the 500 closeout--in fact no Magellans at the moment. I see that Tiger has the 500 for $139--not $74, but not too bad. Where are you located? Judi
  3. I went solo caching one morning here in the suburbs of DC. The cache was hidden among a very unusual (for this area) boulder formation in a small community park. I was attempting to get over a boulder and had to straddle it to do so, lost my balance and fell back, hitting my head very hard on a boulder behind me. Fortunately I didn't black out, although I was pretty shaken. After waiting a little while, I did search for and find the cache. I also went to visit my doctor--it was fun explaining to the intern working in my doctor's practice what this then 60-year-old woman was doing that she hit her head!
  4. I seem to be having problems with uploading files where the "from" location is a coordinate rather than a place in Google Earth. The problem is somewhat intermittent as I have a "Home" location that sometimes uploads and sometimes doesn't. I got around this on other locations by finding a fixed location (restaurant, park name) near my "from" location to use as a starting point, then it uploaded fine.
  5. I'm having the same problem. I just subscribed and because I'm not staying logged in can't see the premium caches. I can see my account and the caches I found, but when I go to Google Maps, I'm no longer logged in. Judi
  6. Somehow I managed to forget I had a TB and didn't log that I retrieved it or somehow it got lost from my inventory. I placed the TB over the weekend, then realized this problem, so can't log where I placed it because I didn't record the number. Is there any way around this problem, or do I have to depend on the person who retrieves it from its current cache to log it and get it back into official circulation?
