  1. It's not a problem with the new models. With my 60CSx, I had no problem viewing my saved tracks on google earth.
  2. Red90, I'm new at this. How do I manipulate the hint into the notes field? I have uploaded my PQs to GSAK and then directly to my GPSr. What I have found in my note fields are the names and owners of the cache. I would much rather, like you, have the hint. In the field above the note field, do I have the option to have the cache name instead of the GC name?
  3. I'm sure that the goecache function on the Legend is similar to that of the GPSMap 60. If so, check out this discussion - I think it will be enlightening.
  4. I just retrieved Travellin with Thomas from Last Defense. I try to post a new log on the TB's page stating as much. It asks me for the #. I tried typing TB574C and even cutting and pasting the number straight from it's own webpage, but I keep getting the message that the number is "no match". Help!!
  5. Using GSAK, you don't have the extra step of having to edit the geocache symbols.
  6. I couldn't get http://www.gps.tv/mov/60c/03.mov to play in my browser. I am using IE ver. 6.0.2. Any ideas? I think you need a QuickTime or some other MIME type plug-in for your browser. How to do that I don't know, my computer at work just happens to have it. The movie shows just what you described, but it's neat to actually see it happen. Until I read your post and did a google on geocaching mode a few minutes ago, I didn't know how to use my own 60CSx.
  7. Don't get confused between the functions of the regular compass and the electronic compass, both found on the "s" series (including both the CS and the CSX). The regular compass doesn't require calibration, but won't work accurately until you're moving a short distance. Whereas the electronic compass will work accurately without any travel, but does require an initial calibration when powering up. The electronic compass and altimeter is difference between the C and the CS as well as the difference between the CX and the CSX.
  8. I downloade GPXView on my Dell Axim and it works fine, but GPXSonar appears to be a nicer program with more usable features. I downloaded and installed GPXSonar to my Axim but when I click on it, I get an error message "Cannot find 'GPXSonar' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available." I have installed a number of programs to my Axim, they have all installed automatically and I have never seen a message like that before. I have even tried different versions of GPXSonar, but I keep getting the same message? What did I do wrong? How can I fix it?
  9. I'm new, but what does one do to get himself banned?
