  1. Wal-mart special. Use it to carry all my water, caching print outs, pens, water, lunch, snacks, water, swag, bandaids, water, cell phone, mp3 player and...oh yeah, water!
  2. Still waiting in South Carolina. Hopefully I will get one tomorrow.
  3. I found one here in SC that had about 7-8 decoys. Each was clearly labeled as a decoy and was pretty easy to find. All the decoys were around the actual cache. So you were never more than 10 feet from the actual cache. The name...Fiddlesticks!
  4. I'm looking for one that would incorporate the Domino's Pizza Noid from the '80's, a GPSr and a White Jeep TB. Something like this pic... Winning submission will get a $5.00 certificate to Domino's Pizza. Or a noid.
  5. Me & my daughter found a couple a few weeks ago. This one was just huge!
  6. Here's mine Seen around various parts of Columbia, SC
  7. I went all last year without seeing a tick on me. (Wasn't caching, but was in the woods) This year I find 2-3 every time I go out to the forest.
  8. It's all in your location I guess... I've found two local surplus stores (Houston, TX) that have started keeping good supply of ammo boxes... 30 cal for $4.70 each and 50 cal for $6.20 each. I've looked online - shipping is a killer most of the time. -Chris DadGreatFinder, Houston There is a store here in SC called US Patriot. They sell the 30 cal for $6.00 or $7.00 & 50 cal for $9.00 if I remember correctly.
  9. If you had read the guildlines (Visit Link) you would know that you can not hide a cache while wearing a mask and machine gun. Please revise your listing.
  10. Thanks for all the ideas folks. I might end up taking 3-4 days just to cache! Already planned my route from Columbia to Myrtle Beach and the caches I want to hit along the way with the new feature. That thing is sweeeeet!
  11. Thanks for the info everyone. I'm already planning 2 full days of caching! Keep'em coming!
  12. I've tried to place 3 caches. 2 of the 3 people I talked with gave me the look like I was crazy. They of course, didn't know what geocaching was. So I explained it as best I could and they still shot me down on placing the cache. What are some good ways to ask for permission, because I'm not getting it done the way I'm doing it. Thanks!
  13. I'm currently planning a cache that would be located in plain site inside a small business. It will have a lock on it so that it can't be muggled in the store. Plus it will be a 50 cal can so it will be very hard for someone to pick it up and walk out with it. The visitor will have to answer questions inside the business to get the combination to the box. Will be very well stocked as well!
  14. I like all types of caches. Used to live in the MB area as well. So I don't mind going to different parts of town. Will be there for a week as well and will be staying just south of the State Park.
  15. I'll be heading to Myrtle Beach in mid July and wanted to get opinions on good caches in the Myrtle Beach & Sufside Beach areas. Thanks!
  16. Argiope Aurantia, Garden Spider. (which is, indeed, an orb weaver). Opened the front door to my apartment a few years ago, overnight one of these had built a web in the door frame. I was talking to my wife when I opened the door and turned just in time to keep from getting a face full of him. Closest I have ever come to having a heart attack.
  17. If it hasn't, I've got family just outside Jacksonville. Could have it picked up this week. Just let me know. skillet@sc.rr.com On a side note, J-ville is my ole' stomping grounds. That and Greenville.
  18. I didn't need to read that over breakfast.
  19. I'm currently working on 2 themed caches. They will be my 1st and 2nd hidden caches. The 1st one is a history theme about my hometown and the town I now live in. Seekers will have to answer questions about my hometown and the town I live in now to get coordinates to the cache. The 2nd one is based on music. It will be a 3 stage multi. Seekers will have to search the internet to get information about 3 listed singers and/or groups. They will use that information to figure out the stages.
  20. Had one yesterday. Spent 45 minutes walking through knee high briars. The cords had the cache hidden between 2 rows of power lines. Stopped and stood on top of a medium sized hill to see around me, only to find out seconds later that it was a fire ant hill! 1 tube of neosporin later, I'm still considering going back...
  21. Is there a download of the painting stencil that most people put on the side of their cache? I'm going to put out my first one next week and want to paint the stencil on the side. Thanks in advance!
  22. ROFLMAO!!! Oh man, I've done that dance more than a few times in the woods in SoAla and NWFla! Did it this morning! BTW - Newbie here Hi all!
