  7. My coins all went out last night as well. This was a cool way to trade! Thanks for setting this up, Dirk.
  8. The random number generator picked post #61, so congrats to derschlings! I'll send you a pm. Thank you so much for your help with this science project! I am assured that the budding scientist is very happy! Cheers- Brady (moscow32)
  9. This was really cool! I got some nice coins out of the trade. I wouldn't mind hosting one of these trades again in the future.
  10. oh! ok so basically its a two sided container sleeve in which each side is an open ended envelope...is that right? Yes that's about right. But before you go out and buy some, keep in mind that almost every geocoin vendor will ship the coins to you in one of these pouches. Some use the two sided flip, and some use a single pocket flip. It's almost certain that the coins you've order will come in a coin flip that fits the coin, no matter how oddly shaped it is.
  11. not concerned here. Its an international trade. Sometimes hard to coordinate schedules. PL- you're on my wishlist too. Sounds like you are very popular! <fingers crossed that my wishlists are filled>
  12. Placeholder entry for a response received via email. Thanks everyone for your help. I am told that the young scientist is very excited by all of the participation!
  13. Here are my answers as a sample: 1- Internal 2- Yes 3- 28 4- Male See how easy?
  14. Here's the deal. The daughter of a friend is conducting a survey as part of her science fair project. I thought I'd help out a little bit and create a Friday cointest, to go along with all of the other cointests currently running. Here are the rules: 1- Answer the survey only once per post 2- Answer the survey only once per unique person 3- Multiple entries are allowed for additional unique people (i.e. spouse, kids, etc), but please only one survey per post. Please indicate in your post that the survey is from another unique person. (We have to keep the science clean!) 4- I will select the winning post # from all of the survey answers posted by Noon (12pm) Eastern Time Saturday November 3, 2007 using an Excel Random Number generator. (If you have already answered the question in the MiGO forums, please don't answer again here. Just mention it in a post to the thread, and I'll throw it into the hat.) The Prize: A Gold moscow32 Delicious Cache LE. Only 50 of this non-trackable coin were minted. I'll let the winner pick the number, if its available. For the most part, except for a few donations, these coins are only available in caches that I have placed. Here's the survey: ======================================== ============================================================= 1. An "internal" point of view is one where you see things happening as if you are looking through your own eyes. For instance, if you are catching a baseball, you would see the ball moving towards you, becoming larger as it approached your hands. An "external" point of view is one where you see things happening to you as if you are another person. For instance, if you are catching a baseball, you would see yourself reaching for the ball, as if you are a spectator at a game. When you dream, which point of view do you use? (check one, please) Internal __ External __ Both __ 2. Do you consider yourself to be creative? (check only one) Yes __ No __ 3. Age __ 4. Gender __
  15. I knew that the GGP and I had a connection! I hit my 500th cache this afternoon, and boy was it a doozy, but lots and lots of fun. Much to my surprise, when I was about to sign the logbook, I noticed that the Great Geo-Pumpkin had been there before me to leave me a birthday present! The GGP even left me #32! Thanks so much for the excellent Birthday/milestone/Halloween surprise, Great Geo-Pumpkin!
  16. Not that I'm an expert, but I'll take a stab at these questions. Short answer, yes. In this math trade, there was two days when we were allowed to group our coins. To my knowledge, no one in our trade did group their coins, but we certainly were allowed to. At this point in the trade, though, it isn't possible to group the coins, because we all have to be working from a common list for it to work. So if you had a grouped offer, you could have specified the premium coin in your want list. Conversely, if you have the premium coin, and you only wish to receive the grouped coins, you would specify that in your want list for that coin. If you feel that nothing in the trade group meets the value you associate with your premium coin, you simply give a blank want list for that coin, and it doesn't trade. All of this leg work has to be done in the offer/regroup period. I'm sure Dirk will step in and give a more clear explanation, but I think that covers it. Cheers- moscow32
  17. Just to be clear, what syntax do you want our responses in? e.g. Do you want our usernames, colons as delimeters, etc? I've just been reading through the linked documentation, and it seems like having us send you the data in a common syntax would really help you out.
  18. Well, I guess I've had my question answered. Nothing special about my coin. Please close this thread. I never intended it to get ugly.
  19. All I know is that the coin listed here is antique silver. the coin that I have in my hand is antique bronze. (I still think it looks more bronze than copper).
  20. Quick question for the experts around here. I was just looking through my coins, and came up with my Unnecessary Bushwhacking coin. Funny thing is, its not antique silver, like the coin in the Geocoin Club Member store is. I didn't notice before, but it looks like an antique bronze. What gives? Did I somehow get a limited edition? Does the Geocoin club send out limited editions occasionally? moscow32
  21. I like to see the metal on the coins. Call me old-fashioned, (and a hypocrite if you've seen my personal coin), but a coin is first and foremost, squished metal. Some of the recent coins which are covered entirely in enamel don't do it for me. They feel too cartoony. The enamel should be an accent and not the focus, in my opinon.
  22. I'm launching 15 coins today from this cache, which just got published. Where will they end up?
  23. We use wet celery around here. You have much to learn.
