Hmm . . . Do I give a hint?
Bambography replied to Harry the furry squid's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Assuming you have double/triple checked the puzzle to make sure it IS possible to solve it then leave it as it is. I like the fact that there are caches sitting there waiting to be found by someone who can crack it! -
Your incoming mission was posted late, due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances... It has been in the mail system now for 3 weeks, winging it literally..... So it should be there ANY DAY now. Sadly it didn't make it to me before I left today so i'll have to hope the lovely Royal Mail will hold onto it until the 5th Jan when i'm back home. Huge thanks to Butterfly_lady for all the excellent work you have put into this mission. Its been great watching the mission photos come in from all over the world (more so when its of things I posted out). HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!

Cheers, I hope so! Not that i've heard of and if they do they'll charge! Its the only thing due so think i'll risk it.

1. Participating: email sent 21/10/08 2. Received Name: 30/10/08 3. Mission Complete: 27/11/08 4. Package Received: Not Yet! More worrying because i'm going to be away from the postal address for about 2 weeks. Hopfully there isn't a collect within 7 days rule at the post office! I leave tuesday, so fingers crossed it'll arrive by then...!?

In case one of the question deliveries is to me I should confirm that i've not yet received a mission. Thank you and well done to Butterfly Lady for all the tracking work you've been doing. I've been trying to save you extra work but since people are asking I thought i'd send the update.

Thanks for the replies so far. Certainly seems to be a divide in opinion between Tom Tom & Garmin. A further question: Are you able to install Memory Map on any of the in car Sat Navs (not PDAs)??
-
Hi, With the festive season fast approaching, i'd like the opinion of those in the know. What is the best in-car Sat Nav? Main thoughts are that it needs to be user friendly, would like the ability to upload caches to get notified when driving near them. UK & Europe mapping too and possibly bluetooth. Thanks in advance... Chris

Regents Park has several caches which i've enjoyed. In one day I walked from Holland Park, through Hyde Park and up to Regents Park. Its a fairly long walk but I found 13 caches on the way so was a good day out. When are you visiting, as you may find some caching buddies willing to join you for a while.

See??? All's well that ends well... let's get back to pictures of the inbound missions now please... i don't think butterfly lady over-reacted, nor did she owe any one an apology. cav scout owes the rest of us an apology for his rude behaviour. <snip> just because it ends, doesn't mean it ends well. this is the kind of person that creates negativity around missions. just because it is christmas doesn't mean immature actions are excused. <snip> Continuing to go on about it doesn't help either.....

Hi A Mitt! I'm glad you liked it all! I had fun collecting all the bits. Also, just to note that as yet I have not received a package. I assume you have now notified those effected by the 2 late/delayed deliveries so I will keep an eye on the postbox

Commercial caches? I hope not!
-
When are you going? Is there still time to get things to you? I'm in b'stoke so not far for things to travel...!
-
Just a quick message of support for what DizzyPair said. I especially like the concept on an increased buffer zone as this will keep them spaced out but prevent total saturation.

<SNIP> double post - darn timeouts </SNIP>

My packages finally arrived so I can now say: 1. Participating: email sent 21/10/08 2. Received Name: 30/10/08 3. Mission Complete: 27/11/08 4. Package Received: Sorry for the delay. Its going by plane and the Post Office assure me it'll be there in plenty of time! Hope you like it PS Scatterbrain Cutie: I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. I lost my brother suddenly last year so I know how you feel. I hope your family strength will make this season as good as it can be.

I agree, however.... ... with those number an area of 58km2 per cache is hardly saturated. I've been to the forest many many times over the last few years and know several locations which i'd hide caches. One of which I may do if they allow more. (I realise this does counteract my previous post...)

Where the Mac tracking no would ease you through the process and do most of the log for you, the PC one would ask if you are sure that you want to discover this coin before putting it somewhere you'll never find it

Sorry, but i'm still waiting for something to arrive! Hope its here soon! I'll have it in the post asap!

Good that there are on going negotiations, but don't push it too far in the forest. Although it is the most obvious place for lots of well hidden caches, it is also quite nice that they are spread out and decent caches!

You mean these: (Near Bishops Rock, Isles of Scilly) (Ditto) (Ditto) And from the same trip: (Outside the Turks Head - St Agnes) (At the Garrison campsite - St Marys) (On the quay at St Marys) But still no fluffy bunnies.....
-
a few of the fluffy (& otherwise) animals i've encountered while caching: Up near the Old Man of Storr (Isle of Skye) Holland Park - London Regents Park London Somewhere near the GFaB event At Piratemania

What this chap! I've done a couple of his caches and was glad I had a bit of cache hunting experience before I did! That said, go for it! they're great fun! Welcome to the mad house! Happy Caching!
