Or make it a PMO if they are a PM

I recently did a multi where you had to go to a site, get the info, do some math and go find the cache. I think I am the only one who did it that way. The CO didn't realize she put the answer for what you had to go find on the cache page and also had a checker so everyone else solved it on line and didn't do it as she intended.

there is some around here. One a kid did you have to find a particular TB he owns on his profile to get the coords. Some use them with a key attached to open a cache but then the TBs go missing or someone holds on to long or takes out of the area.

Guess if you have the money and the geocaching itch.

There are many I won't do like more than 4 or more countries as I doubt I will visit any more than that. Or visit all 50 states. Too costly for both the countries and states. So I just ignore the ones I can't do and do the ones I can or could do.
-
Thanks then I won't talk about the ones you have to solve a puzzle to get to the event.

I have seen events that kayaking, hiking trails and ones on 4x4 trails. So are these exceptions?

I know some who did, I rode with them for at least 3 states then they dumped me off. They did this all in one trip. Rented a vehicle that was barely new and was allowed to cross state lines and returned with lots of mileage. For Hawaii and Alaska they did one day return flights. I think it took them 13 days and at least got one ticket and a flat tire.

My longest streak was 362 consecutive days with finds. I missed one day and after that I didn't feel like starting over.

Like how in WA I had a bad reputation when I asked COs if they could check some of their caches I got a response in a way that I was targeting one CO. I wasn't paying attention that the caches were all the same CO. He took it so personally that he archived all of his old caches. I sent him a message that I was sorry and that I didn't intend him to do that. But it was too late and many locals then took it out on me that all these old caches were archived.

Well now I have noticed not as many Trads are being published. Puzzle are still the same. Cachers here are enjoying doable puzzles over finding Trads. It's more fun, challenging, some team effort and the caches and COs seem to last longer than those who only start and place a Trads. I hardly do trads that much unless they happened to be easy ones near where I am doing other hobbies.

I had that happened to me when a cacher logged a cache that not only was missing but the bus stop it was on was removed and I only disabled it to find another spot. She asked why I deleted her logged and I told her she couldn't log something that wasn't there. She got mad and started to log all of my caches even ones she couldn't possible have done in the same day from other states. I kept writing her to stop but she wouldn't listen until I told her I was going to report her to HQ. She then stopped and I haven't heard from her since.

I know in my area most of the East Bay Regional Parks are banning the use of Drones in the parks. Especially over marshes and wildlife habitats.

Visualizing possible hiding spots on a map

Not sure if it is true but some of the GC updates broke the greasemonkey scripts. All of mine stopped working and someone told me that it was true -
I don't understand, if we have to keep opting out why do they want us to use the new page? They should either trash that idea or fix it. I had the same trouble trying to log a NA and it wouldn't let me so I opted out.

They raised it not long after I got mine. I think it's $60 now

It still shows up as the corrected cords for me.

Old enough. Not getting younger for sure.

Help needed to complete a Mystery cache!
jellis replied to Tanzie1981's topic in General geocaching topics
Believe there is a social network page about help in solving puzzles. I haven't been on it but I believe it's about other cachers knocking ideas around. -
Most of the events I've gone to some do leave early but more are hanging out and talking, comparing notes etc.
-
I agree though it is fun in some areas it is still vandalism if it can be seen
-
I understand not wanting to log a Find more than once but not being able to log OM or NA more than once if message is not being answered or fixed. I have to keep Opting out to the old to do it.

Another one is when a CO has coords off and either someone reports better coords or the CO tries to get them and posts an Owner Maintenance and doesn't even correct the coords
