  1. Hi, There are probably many threads on here asking this question, but to save me scrolling through them all, I thought Id be lazy and ask the question myself. We currently geo-cache using a PDA with Tom Tom and download coordinates using POI edit. The GPS unit I use which is a bluetooth connected unit and is rubbish because we keep losing the GSP signal and it takes forever to find it again. This is really frustrating when out looking for caches, so, have made the decision to sell it and purchase something with a gps built in. What do people suggest would be a good unit which can still use something simple to use like POI edit to download the coordinates etc... Got about £200-£250 We are still pretty novice at this so any info on downloading geocaches to units would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Ive managed to store caches on my GPS now using the Mapsourse software it came with. Thanks for the info. Now all ive got to do is find where I can get some better detailed maps for the UK. The one on the GPS isnt too good. Its missing loads of roads and doesnt even pick up the town I live in???
  3. Without reading back through umpteen posts. We are brand new to Geocaching. I just got a Garmin 76C. Having a nightmare. Cant download anything, Just keep getting errors with it not recognising the info. Any views ? Thanks. Nikki
  4. Hi, Im a brand new geocacher in the UK. Ive just got a Garmin GPSMAP 76C which has a Geocache facility but, Im having difficaulty downloading any information from the geocache.com site. Eachtime I try to send the Waypoints / co-ordinates to the GPS, it says that Im am sending information that isnt recognised! What am I doing wrong and how can I rectify it? Also, how do I manually enter co-ordinates into the GPS? Thanks. Nikki. Maldon, Essex, Great Britain.
