  1. Mission status. Mission received - 18 Jan Coins sent - 20 Jan Coins received - 7 Feb My secret cupid (well not so secret as I know who it was, lol ) included 3 lovely coins that will soon be travelling the caches of Canada as I had determined that I would release the coins sent to me. Thank you very much for the coins and I hope you get as much as you gave.
  2. I don't think the coin collection will ever replace geocaching in my world. I have been caching for a lot longer and I love the outdoors and getting out and finding the caches. The coin collection is just a hobby, a rather expensive one. lol
  3. I received a Pay it Forward coin a little while ago and it is already on its way somehwere having been picked up just after I cached it. I would love to get the chance to pass on another one.
  4. I was a bit slow in getting my name in so I just got the email and sent the coins out. At least they should get them well before Valentines.
  5. Sent off my email. For whoever gets my name I'm not fussy about what I get. I know my want list is pretty small and htf so almost anything would be good. I just like the idea of having fun and being able to make someone else happy.
  6. Ugh... What can you really do about that. All the emailing in the world sounds like it won't work with whoever this is. But I do think your reply shows a lot of class on your part. I know many people who would send an email laced with profanity and threats which would serve no useful purpose whatsoever. I hope you manage to get this worked out in some way.
  7. I suppose I should be waving a huge magnet over all my change from now on. lol Although it doesn't say which coin was the problem I'm willing to bet it was a toonie. They have a center piece that is made of a different metal and pressure fit into the coin. It would be possible to remove it and replace it with a look alike that has a transmitter or rfid chip embedded in it.
  8. Secret Cupid? hmmmm I'm in. I had a ball with the secret santa one. And save me one of your new coins. I'm sure I can come up with something to trade.
  9. I would say there is snow here in Calgary but I would be fibbing. There are still a few patches around but not much. And it's 1030 pm with +1 degree temperatures. This is winter????
  10. Well it took a lot of thinking and a bit longer than I expected but I have made a trade for the coins. I won't say who I dealt with (I'll leave that up to them if they want to reveal themselves) but I'm sure they will be very happy. Much thanks to everyone who made me an offer. I took a good look at every deal and accepted the one that most fit into my collecting philosophy. There were a lot of very enticing ones there that would make most people very happy but I could only accept 1.
  11. Now if I smoked that might be a deal I could go for. lol Whattaya asking? Actually there are so many HTF and older coins that I want I don't know which ones I want most so I figured I would just open it up to offers and see what happens.
  12. Wheeeeeeee Santa finally made it here. I got 3 of the new Holiday series coins. None of which I have so Santa must have heard my prayers.
  13. I know that feeling. I think Santa slipped mine in the wrong mailbox or something. But hey. It was fun just sending some coins out and watching all the responses
  14. I haven't made a trade yet. For anyone who is interested in these coins I'm giving it until New Years to make me an offer. That way everyone who is so inclined will have a chance. Anyone got a spare Capt Prozac??
  15. For those who are wondering about these. Yes, I actually do have 2 sets of them (probably the only person in the world with 2 sets) and am seriously considering offering up one set for trade. How did I manage that? My brother used to live in Winnipeg a few years ago. When I would go visit him we would always go out caching. He actually got this set out of caches. However my brother is not interested in geocoins and he gave them to me as a present for christmas, knowing I collect geocoins. He also knows I have them myself so I figure he just wanted to get rid of them. For those who don't know about these coins, they were minted by a cacher in Winnipeg about 4 years ago, long before the geocoin craze took off. There were only 50 of each minted. I would much rather part with these as a set rather than individually, but don't keep an eye on ebay because I will not be selling them.
  16. I'm in the same boat you are. I haven't seen my recipient post either. I'm sure though that some of them are bound to get hung up in the Christmas mail rush. It would be nice to get it to them before christmas but the mail system will do as it will.

Did I make it in time?? huh?? huh??
  18. Count me in too. Although I'm in the same position as LFD. My seeking list is in my sig line although I'm not fussy about what I get seeing as how my list consists mostly of HTF coins anyway. It just sounds like a fun thing to do. I'm always up for some fun.
  19. I would be interested in 1 or 2 depending on price.
  20. Ummmm That was from April 2006. You will get your invoice pretty quick I'm thinking..
  21. I see your point here but this person seems to be making a habit of going to a cache and just grabbing coins, often not even logging the cache they found it in. People in the area have tried numerous times to contact them with no response whatsoever. this may be a total newbie who has now gotten so much email on it that they are afraid to show their face but the general feeling around Calgary is that this person knows what they are doing. Unfortunately no one in the local area knows who it is or they could find out what the real story is.
