I should have done a screen grab while it was up. But I did go caching. -

I must go geocaching today but I will try that later and report back. Thanks. -
How can I create a list of caches starting or ending with a specific letter?

Yes. And I enjoyed meeting you and trading stories.

I love challenge caches but I hardly ever sign them until I qualify. An exception would be if I am in another state and I am close to qualifying. I am waiting to qualify for a "Z" cache in an alphabet series but need a few more that start with Z. It is only a 2 hour drive so when I qualify I will make the drive.

His question was 2 part: 1st - What version app and what version Android are you using? 2nd - Are they up to date? You only answered the 2nd question.

That reminds me of when I lived in Costa Rica where they had potholes with anniversaries. Throw a party! -
As I walk through the woods I am waving my walking stick to clear spider webs that would otherwise end up in my face. And they sometimes bring the spiders too.

Get someone else to reach in first.

What a nice idea. Thanks to those who made it happen and congrats to the finder.

And I do write a note periodically on caches I pass by. Did it recently in ND on a couple. It serves as a wellness check. -
Hobbies do help make life worthwhile. But if I can no longer participate in a particular one then I modify my participation or find something else. I don’t just quit. I may have to go in a whole new direction but life can still be very worthwhile.

We certainly hope for your full recovery and a return to geocaching. We would wish the same for ourselves. But as limitations come to us we can still be involved but possibly at a different level. Long hikes may be out but hosting an event around a table in a park may be very much within the scope of our limitations. Best wishes.

Would this be considered cheating or would it be okay?

I wound never want my name signed for a cache I did not find. Only exception is a group hunt after an event but even if I did not find it myself I was there for the find. I cache because I love to travel so my cache list shows where I have been, not where someone else has been. -
Just did a virtual today for the last type I needed and the souvenir popped up quickly. My events were regular events.

I think that comment was made with the tongue firmly located in the cheek. Only for the number grabbers.
-
Looks intriguing. Thanks for your effort even if I never get there to find it.

I received the easy souvenir minutes after I logged the third type of cache. I hope to get the hard level tomorrow. I need a letterbox and a virtual.

I had a Geocaching 101 class open to the public and sponsored by the local Parks and Rec. I proceeded that with an event so I would have geocachers there to help the newbies. I had placed several fake geocaches and gave the coords to the cachers. They made waypoints on their phones and let the newbies use them to find the 'geocaches'. It was a great cooperative event. GCA9DQZ was the event. You may be able to ask the school leaders if other geocachers can help teach the class. Then go for it.

If you mean the Geocaching App then that logic should apply to ALs too.

When someone sends me a message through the Geocaching Message Center I get an email alerting me that I have a message. I assume that if you send an email it would be the same address that Geocaching uses to alert a user about a message so it shouldn't matter which you use..
