  1. By stray's, I am guessing you mean stray household type dogs? And, if so, what type? Zahrim....
  2. A low cost idea is always good. But on this, I think the tag is the way to go. Per-chance a cheaper way of making/sending the tags may be looked into, but I think the tag is still a key to people paying attention. In my short time GeoCaching, I have seen that without a bit of incentive, most people don't pay attention. Zahrim....
  3. I am from the US, but lived in the UK for 8 years, and now wish I was still there. Sounds fun. Keep the rest of us posted as to how it goes... Zahrim....
  4. If they are Military Ammo Cans, and closed properly, they should be water-tight to well over 100 feet. 'This is a good guess, and not a deeply researched fact, but as I deal with these cans on a regular basis (USAF here), I would say, a very good guess at a minimum.' quote:update I currently have 2 ammo cans filled with bricks laying in the 10 foot end on the bottom of my pool. I check them every now and again. Bone dry. I've been letting the neighbor kids pull them around the bottom, and changing depths to see if pressure is an issue. none have arisen so far.

  6. After looking at this thread, I didn't see a few spare Ziploc bags. After a cache I found today, I will now start to carry a few spare Ziploc bags in my kit and a few paper towels. The inside of the cache was wet even though the lid was sealed. I did the best I could to dry it out but was not able to replace the Ziploc. I will be better prepared in the future. I guess we learn as we go... Zahrim....

  8. If directions are no longer valid do to a change of some sort, should I report an update to the NGS? The BM I found the other day, is still there, and in good condition, but the directions are no longer useable because the mentioned "gate no. 3" has been closed for several years now with no likelihood of ever being reopened. I can go get new directions to use another gate. Here is the information I am talking about. FJ1003''TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN MIDWEST CITY, FJ1003''DRIVE EAST ON SE 29TH FOR 0.6 MILE TO TINKER AIR FORCE BASE FJ1003''ENTRANCE GATE NO. 3 ON THE RIGHT. ENTER THE GATE AND DRIVE FJ1003''SOUTH ALONG THE PAVED STREET FOR 0.35 MILE TO THE CONTROL FJ1003''TOWER, A CAFETERIA AND THE STATION. Zahrim....
  9. Not sure what I missed before. I must have tried five or six times. It worked this time. Thanks. Zahrim....
  10. Hello all. Having a bit of trouble trying to "Log a find for (FJ1003) RAMP". I have try'd several times today to make this submission with no luck. Every time I try, I get "There was an error in your submission." I have checked the page several times to make sure I have entered everything required on the page. Any help would be much appreciated. On a side note, this is my first find. It was quite interesting in the fact that it is only about 400 ft from my office. This BM is one of those I have seen mentioned in several posts that are located in places most people can't get to. This one is located on Tinker AFB, OK. Zahrim....
