  1. I use the Garmin eTrex Legend. Its relatively inexpensive, has 8megs of memory for maps and waypoints and routes and what not, looks kinda like a cell phone (good for blending in with those pesky muggles) and has an easy to use interface. I recomend this for any beginner looking for a good reliable GPSr. The screen isnt color, but it IS backlit, is water resistant and semi g-shock proof. I found mine at Best Buy for 150 bucks, but I've heard of some finding it cheaper. Hope this helps.
  2. GCN6YN is one of my favorite multi caches. It's located in the North West Valley. I'm not sure if its considered Glendale or Peoria, but its a good urban hide that might keep ya stumped. All the points are in the same area. And there are a lot of quick snatch and grabs around the area too. If you want a big one, check out the White Elephant...GCQJE1. Bring big stuff to trade...but it apparently is going to be gone forever in August. :-( Sorry to see it go. Kids LOVE this cache! Its HUGE! Hope this helps! PS...Phoenix is litterred with urban micros...you can probably find 10 easy snatch and grabs near the coords that you are staying at.
