  1. If you avoid the geocaching logo on it, you avoid getting permission. ---Real men cache in shorts.

  4. Right now there are only 10 of these, so I think they will just pop up randomly. I know for sure there eventually will be 4 more released from that same cache. ---Real men cache in shorts.

  8. That's true about not knowing the end point of a multicache, but I would hope anyone placing a cache where others are anywhere near (say 1/2 - 1 mile) would find those caches to see their relationship to the one they want to leave. ---Real men cache in shorts.
  9. I just changed it, but my original question still stands for input. ---Real men cache in shorts.
  10. Think the response would be any different if it was an ammo box? ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.

    Geo tiles

There are some little geo tiles floating around the Portland area. I'd just thought I'd give some probable info about it. Knowing the copyright issues on the logo, who knows who would actually put the things out. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.

  15. The end point of the multi-cache is 75 feet away. I also didn't say anything about it in my log of the other cache because if it's not moved I don't want to spoil it for anyone else going to it. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  16. We just placed our first cache and a week later have found somebody else placed on 75 feet away. We have sent a nice email letting the person know that our cache is there and could they please move their's farther away. My question is how close is okay for caches. I looked before we placed ours and my rule of thumb was to make sure there wasn't one within 1 mile. I don't want to know what is already out there, just how close people feel they can get and still be "okay." ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  17. There have been some done two ways. You can use the coordinates of the cache where the instructions are, but them it will show in a list of caches in the area. Or you can just put all zeros in which will allow it to be logged, but it won't show up in local caches. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  18. Blownads is not a long one, but gives you a great view of the city. The Lacamas Park series is just across the river in Washington and can give you hours of walking depending on how long it takes to find the right trails. No camping though. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  19. Using UMC's idea, you could use data off the wall to lead to a regular cache. My thinking is a virtual should be reserved for those places a physical cache is impossible. It could even lead miles away from the wall. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  20. There are at lest two companies that are being used for these coins. Is geocaching.com going to supply a die at each of the companies and any others people are using? ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  21. Can I point out how small everything will be on a coin with that new logo? ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  22. I've been trying to decide what to put on my Christmas list. I don't have my own geiger counter. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.

  24. Maybe in Minnesota the spiders only come out around caches like they do here in Oregon. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
  25. I'm confused. There have been discussions. For the most part the person starting the discussion wants to ignore the rule while most the people replying state many reasons to follow the rule. I think that would make the results of a poll pretty clear. You are just wanting approval to ignore the rule just in a different way. If you really think there are good reasons to change this rule then post your forum title that way, state your reasons and ask for a discussion on the merits of changing the rule. But as I said, I think you can already fit the replies to all the other discussions about this rule into that forum as well. ---I will stand out, I am a raven in the snow.
