I actually have a cache like that. Sanded down the outside, painted it and hung it from a tree. It's a good size for places where many might just throw a micro. I also cut a small pad of paper down so it would like in and out easily.

You said don't mention the batteries, but that seems like a biggie. I bought me digital camera because it uses AAs. Plus there's the whole quad antenna thing.

I would think twice before getting a GPS that you can't swap out the batteries on or doesn't have the quad antenna.

Jeesh, you people have no patience. I've been contacting people in order of the waiting list. I just start this thing a few days ago, and it is a bit of work. Not a bad idea to have one for the folks that want like 10 coins at a time. If you're a little patient I'm working my way down the list.

My group will order somewhere around 60. Give you a had number when you're ready.

Okay, I understand the Yosemite thing. But, there is a difference between how beautiful in person and how it would look on a coin. I was thinking what would be recognizable to people that aren't from here. I might just be off base, but I'm betting way more people would recognize the golden gate than half dome. Jeesh, we need a Nav Dog down here. BTW, there is a group that will buy at least 60 coins.

I have one of these for navigation. Don't think I'd take it out in the wild though.

All my caches are MOC caches. I figure there isn't really any good reason not to support gc.com if you're going to use its services. If you're not a member you're letting people like me pick-up your share.

Yes sorry. For now because of financial reasons for buying coins for several people I'm sticking with the list I posted. I emailed them and if anyone says no I'll go down the list. Once everything is in place I may contact others.

Okay, I'm going to cut it off there. It looks like most people would be happy with 3 and there is a good point that if people want more of a certain one they can order those themselves. If this goes off without a hitch for a coin or two I'll open it up to more people. I'm just think of my cash outlay each time. There is a local or two I've invited to join as they have helped me in the past. So after from hearing from each of you I"ll make up an email list and do things that way. Once we get the final list, I'll send out a list of coins that can already be ordered and make sure nobody knows of any other than those we SHOULDN'T order and we'll go from there.

Ya, sounds like this wouldn't be for you then. You would be better off just picking and choosing as they are posted. People can already do this.

Yup, well I figure I'll just place a personal order for the number of coins we need. But I'd let them know it's for the group so they don't think I'm hoging them all.
