Do NOT print the cache's website directly. Hit the cache's print link (right above the download link) beforehand and print from there. No issues by doing it that way.

Googling for “ohjoy!” delivers a lot of suspicious websites. Maybe a browser setting or extension is blocking this specific profile?

Actually, it does work for me (location: EU, browser: firefox). IE: the user name "ohjoy!" (without quotes) does open the MessageCenter as expected and creates a ready to fill message form. This was done on both places: the profile page and the cache page (this forum is dealing with website bugs). I also did a test starting a message from the Geocaching App. the MessageCenter does also work there as expected. What experiences have you had with geocachers: slowly! and Bookwoman! of which you found caches at the beginning of the year? Hans

The settings work as expected. There is only one back door, which was probably used by Max and 99.

None of the checker's items are clickable. The "checker" doesn't work at all. Actually the "checker" is just a graphic. A red herring, so to say. The API call gives a correct result.

Yes, there is a way: Post a note on a local forum and invite the local geocachers to a location you designate. You can talk to each other very well without an event listing. These are often the more meaningful conversations than those with geocachers just dropping by to pick up a point. Happy Hunting Hans
