  1. Bring spare batteries. If you have kids with electonic games, make sure they throw away their batteries when they are used up.
  2. deep in a remote wilderness; unsure of how got there; your GPSr dies and you realize you have no batteries.
  3. If you don’t get satisfaction , you can start a bookmark like this creative cacher: caches for which my logs have been deleted The bookmark shows up on their cache page and I don’t believe they can delete it.
  4. Please, tell us all your secrets to finding a cache prior to publication.
  5. We've placed a cache that requires you to do a bit more than just find the cache: I DARE YA! This cache asks you to do something silly, embarrassing or just plain goofy. Ah what fun:
  6. CT Caching Community's website and link to forum can be found at: http://www.ctcachers.com/
  7. I'm stuck with the ampersand so it seems no one can PM me. I just sent two emails that appear to have gone through. Was something done to correct a problem at geocaching.com? I would suggest all copy the email before you hit the send button as a precaution.
  8. Thanks for the update GeoBlank. Do you know if the problem is more widespread than just us?
  9. Dear Jeremy or Moun10Bike, I'm still getting the problem. I would greatly appreciate at least an acknowledgement of our issue. Please advise. Thanks for your help.
  10. I sent two emails via the siite. The first one went through; the second gave me the familiar server error screen seen below. It seem GeoBlank, suz55tbird, The Haywood Hornetand and I are the only ones having this issue. Is this the correct place to ask for help? Please advise. 12. I'm now on gmail so I can't blame AOL any more for these glitches. I've had to resort to posting notes on a cache owner's page and then deleting it to contact them. The other thing that is upsetting is that if you try and go back once you get this error message, then everything you have typed is gone. Do the forum moderators have any advice?
  13. More often than not I get the following error whenever I attempt to send mail to another cacher via geocaching.com. Any suggestions? 14. I also switched to gmail as of yesterday. Groundspeak emails now seem to arrive almost immediately. Interesting, about 60 Groundspeak emails arrived in my AOL mailing this morning. Some a month old.
  15. This may once again be an AOL/Groundspeak problem. Is anyone else having problems getting emails?
  16. Most of us are trying to make something started in the US even better. If we must compare, why not look at quality caches versus the numbers?
  17. We've certainly cached more near swimming areas during the heat wave. We placed one cache at a swimming hole: The Swimming Hole. We've also set up a bookmark: Connecticut Swim Areas. Here's how Katydid and Mrs. SamtheSoccerDog got to the last event:
  18. No, I personally can't think of any good reason for a members only cache. I recommend you avoid them entirely.
  19. How about painting the coordinates on a strand of human hair:
  20. E-mail form letter to postmaster@aol.com. Hello AOL postmaster, I'm not getting my emails from Groundspeak and it appears to be an AOL issue. This has been going on for at least two days now. There is a discussion on this at the forum with all of the details: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...139016&st=0 Can you please help to resolve this? Please advise. Thanks, XXXXX
  21. Still not getting mail. I have AOL. Is Groundspeak working this issue or is there something I need to do?
  22. I've only logged one of our caches, Windsor Meadows State Park; it was a DNF - major bummer.
  23. Batter Up! up has been implicated in the murder of another cacher, Blaze Orange. Note the log with DNA test results. Please, help us solve the mystery.
