  1. A HA! Ok, that makes sense! Thanks.
  2. Sadly, that's even more true now (they announced that they had positively ID'ed the remains as Caylee Anthony as of this afternoon.)
  3. So.... I'm starting to get the clue about this hobby, but there's one part that still doesn't make sense to me. I understand how waypoints work, but I don't understand something about them. Everytime I see a waypoint, there are two little icons. Like here: Now, the left-hand one, I can hover over and the system tells me what it means. But the right one...Well, the flag certainly means "finish", but I have no idea what the rest mean. Can anyone point me towards a listing or guide for this?
  4. Folks - I work in the SE part of Orlando (just north of MCO.) Most of the locals probably know this already, but since Orlando gets a few tourists from time to time (I still wish someone would tell me why... ) I thought I would put this out as a bit of a public service announcement. There is continuing police activity in the area near the corner of Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive and in the wooded area to the SE of that corner. This is due to continuing forensic work/collection in the Caylee Anthony case - which I'm not going to get into (way off topic) other than to say you can get info from the Sheriff's Office here. Now, according to Google maps, there are no caches exactly in that area.... but there are "puzzle" caches out there, a couple down the street, in the next development over, I don't know exactly how far out they're looking, etc. etc. The point is that if your plans for the next couple of weeks include caching in that area....be veddy veddy careful to stay clear of official-looking activity. You could wind up in jail. Or worse, on the Nancy Grace show.
  5. Well.... there's not a GREAT public transportation system in Orlando, but there is one. It's honestly not too bad - I've used it from time to time commuting. (I should mention I'm originally from NY.) Decent service out to Disney (not like there's lots of jobs in that area or anything ) Reasonably safe during the day and cheap as long as you've got the time. www.golynx.com Try the #50 bus. Suggestion I would have would be to take the #50 or a taxi to the International Drive area - there's LOTS to keep someone else occupied while you look for the half-dozen or so caches in that area. (And a trolley service, too. International Drive Trolley) But you're right, it's not easy to get around Happytown without a car or at least a bike. Have a nice trip! It's been unseasonably cold this last week (low actually got near freezing last night) but should be back to normal by the time you get here.
