  1. Well then quite honestly, I don't see this bill being quite so bad. Geocaching SHOULDN'T be done at those places. And lets face it, GC.com just doesn't have the resources to check EVERY cache to make sure it's proper, hence the reason there was a cache in a graveyard in the first place. Although I will admit the devil will be in the details and the implementation. Some things; like unmarked archeological sites and entire towns should be given some leeway. I mean if the town is historical with a park in the middle, that's kind of differant then hiding a geocache in the bedroom of a 1800 farm house. As long as we can still hide them in private (with permission) and public lands (except for places like graveyards) then I don't think this bill will do much to interefere with geocaching.
  2. The thing I don't understand is this: are they trying to ban geocaching statewide, or just in cemetaries or what?
  3. First, how do you get the email of your local approver? Second, I wouldn't feel comfortable at all snooping around a business hunting for a cache. If it was to be asked for I would be ok with that. Interesting idea for a cache though, I wouldn't hunt for it, but it's nice to see people pushing the bounds of geocaching.
  4. if I could scuba (can't due to ears) I would jump at the chance to dive for a cache. But of course, if you guys do, don't expect a ton of traffic
  5. You misread me, it's not how many people have looked at the cache at this moment, it's how many are watching it, which means that when something goes one with it, (found it, didn't find it, etc) and they get an email. It's not the same as bookmarking. If you visit a cache page, and click the "Add to Watchlist" that's what this is. Hope this makes sense.
  6. It means that there are, let's say 14, people watching the cache. Whenever someone posts a find or what not, they get an email. It's helpful for you to do when say you have a travel bug in that cache, or you couldn't find it and want to see if it's lost or someone else finds it.
  7. Speaking of Evil, one guy's cache had a decoy cache, complete with taunting note. It also had the side effect of making us wonder if it was to divert attention from nearby areas the real one could be hidden in, etc. It really psyched us out and made this find the hardest we've had, despite it being quite easily hidden and very close to the decoy.
  8. When someone finds your Travel Bug, can they upload pictures and have them be connected with your bug?
