  1. I haven't seen many caches that didn't need maintenance in 6 years. Full log? Wet? Gone?..... BTW, a throwdown is not maintenace
  2. If the CO is inactive (deceased) you can post a "Needs Archived" log. A reviewer will then step in and handle it. Of course you can always contact the family if you know them and have them archive the cache if they can access the account. "Inactive" CO for 6 yearsseems like a good reason to archive.
  3. That's why GCVote was a much better system. People could rate a cache 0-5 with 3 being "average". That made filtering caches >3.5 a lot more efficient than filtering on FP or FP% The fact that people could also "vote" <3 stars is likely the reason why GS didn't like this system (no things negative allowed). I "downvote" by not finding (skipping/ignore list) caches, not by not giving FPs.
  4. Have you tried connecting it to a PC and have webupdater or garmin express have a "look" at it?
  5. And that will teach them early on that fake logs are OK which in the long run is bad for the hobby.
  6. They logged another EC near Sydney on the same day. Short log online. Maybe an armchair logger. Looking at your EC we might have to revisit NSW (we did Sydney to Cairns in 2003 as our first trip to Oz). I'm sure we missed some nice stuff the first time.
  7. Nope, nope and nope. Don't know what you were doing but it wasn't geocaching.
  9. Probably to do with GClh II. That's why the content is more condensed and more screen area is used (my browser is not full screen).
  10. What do you think is better? Everthing (well, almost everything) needed is there. White space all around. As with all other "improvements" GS is making there's always less useful info on a page and more blank space. That means more scrolling. "Appifying" a desktop page is not progress.
  11. I have no idea what you're talking about. Updating stats and unzipping PQ's how, when, with what...
  12. Los van de officiele aankondigingen zou "gezond verstand" voldoende moeten zijn. In deze tijden zou ik verwachten dat CO's hun events en/of de ingeschrevenen hun "will attend" annuleren.
  13. I tried three mysteries (The atom 06.2 and Numberphilic 4) and both show images just fine with FF 81 64-bit and a bunch of add-ons but Achille's cache ( http://pics.ollie.eml.cc/pics/pics/achillescache.jpg ) has no image.
  14. Oplossingen geven voor mysteries is tegen de forum regels. BTW, you better use English in the main forum or use the Scandinavian sub-forum.
  15. Funny thread No "dangerous animals" here although it seems cows can be dangerous too The only time I saw a snake near a cache was near a small shrine in Hiroshima, from that moment on I kept an eye out when searching caches in Japan. We did see a few in Australia. I remember one very small black one (20-25cm) we saw and went a bit closer to see what it was when a local who approached yelled to get away from it fast. He may have been joking though.
  16. I don't know but in any case, a NM seldom goes unnoticed by a reviewer around here. NM > 1 month > RN > 1 month > TD > 1 month > Archived is very common. So alerted or not, that's what we see.
  17. Don't be. We do fine with caches loaded the previous evening. We read listings/logs in the days before our cacheday(s). We've never had a listing change bothering us and if we would have had a problem finding a cache because the CO changed something while we were out, so be it, we would just log a DNF. Big deal
  18. Answering your deleted(?) answer: If you would have deleted the cache from the app you were using and then reloaded it, you'd probable seen the new version. Other geocachers would most likely have seen the new version.
  19. Typical "cache" behavior. That means, data already in the cache of the app/browser is used before the online version is downloaded. On a PC you might see the same when "refreshing" with F5, Using CTRL-F5 will bypass the cache and get the data again from the server. That way you will see any changes you made.
  20. So... There are not a lot of caches near you and you want to hide micro's? I guess there must be plenty of spots that can hold at least a small? BTW Pill bottles are the worst. Or better, any container that has an opening smaller than the width of the container is. A log roll will get torn quickly as it's hard to get it out though the small(er) opening.
  21. As far as I can tell reviewers are alerted by NM logs. Almost all the time we see a reviewers note one month after a NM is logged. Then, if there's no action by the CO, the reviewer will TD the cache after another month and archive a month later if again there's no action by the CO.
