Dont disable it. In the times the area is flooded change the difficulty and terrain to match and change the description, and change it back when its normal again.

I think i paid about £16 for like 7/8 lok/lok style boxes. 3 "small" size 3 "regular" size and one "large" size geocache. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

Gps in luggage is fine. Some airlines dont like you having them out of luggage and turned on, so be aware they may ask you to switch it off.

I dont use PQs or any of that because im not very techy, but for me just the instant notifications(good for ftfs) and the bookmarks is worth the fee.

The clue says it all "Yes, its on the island". Justifies the high terrain rating..

You can no longer make a virtual cache, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

What is the state of geocaching in your local area?
Lotho replied to spelldog's topic in General geocaching topics
In my area, caches are generally maintained well. I suspect this is because its the UK and the area is smaller, with more cachers in the same place, which stops too many maintainence problems. -
OK WE DID'NT INVENT IT BUT.........................
Lotho replied to fatblokecaver's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
On the whole, im happy with www.geocaching.com. I dont think ill move from here, its got a good format and such things that make it easy to use. I just wish that they hadn't made the commercial changes to the guidelines. A local monthly event called "The Cunning Cachers meet(insert month here)" is well known and it is called so because the pub is called the cunning man. So what are we going to call the event now and how are people to know where it is if we cant say?? I hope i dont get banned for mentioning the pub name here?! -

What is the most valuable object you've found in a cache?
Lotho replied to who-me?'s topic in General geocaching topics
I haven't really found anything of great value, but i dont mind. Ive enjoyed finding little gadgets and such. A hard cache doesn't need necessarily expensive loot, just good. -
Ive never had a muggle ask me what im doing, but i would probably say im looking for something ive lost.

Wow..id love to go there...except i wouldn't be able to..if you slip your a dead man!

Changing the cache density rule?
Lotho replied to NHsummitseakersx3's topic in General geocaching topics
You are complaining over $4 a gallon. Prices in the UK are at around $11 per gallon...maybe you should rethink your rank. -
EDIT: 2 months late...doh.

Compared to the above post, this is nothing, but recently whilst placing a cache i managed to sprain my shoulder mildly and had to go easy on iit for a few days. Sorry to hear about your experience semper.

Geocoins - who in the UK has the most?
Lotho replied to The Cache Hoppers's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Or in fact locked away I guess the advantage with having so many is that you dont really care, and infact probably expect some to go MIA. Imagine your inbox from geocoin moves after say a weeks holiday! -
Im pretty sureCache should be archived now then as they have stopped caching and planned to remove the cache months ago and the adoption process over to me had not began yet.
