  1. Best show ever (apart from Dr Who) The Wonder Years!!!!!
  2. Wow after having been to Bristol a few months ago (and having done some caches there) and living in Edinburgh, I never noticed Bristol was further East - that's quite amazing!
  3. Liverpool, Cardiff, Carlisle, Bristol, Dundee, Edinburgh
  4. Martin O'Neil? Edited to say I hadn't noticed the comment about non-premiership!
  5. Cryptic crosswords are a particularly British phenomenon. I'll have a look this evening as I have known to dabble in them!
  6. I guess the reason for going with ISPs is that if you're a newcomer who may be thinking about opening an account, you don't have any home coordinates!
  7. We don't care either as we know our local caches. Imagine though, if you stumble onto the geocaching page for the first time and read a little bit about it - the map gives the curiosity and interest to the newbie - they'll be thinking - "there's one of these geocache things there? But I pass that everyday! Otherwise if you're a newbie it can be a search round the site to see where your nearest caches are.
  8. Wonder if it's a zombie film like Night of the Living Dead that I've heard rumours about a remake but I'm sure that was made in the mid-60s?
  9. We have a cache in Melrose already that needs a maintenance trip anyway in the next few weeks. We would therefore be willing to place a sister cache in Melrose for your cache in Spain. Please contact us to discuss further
  10. I set this question a few weeks back - barbicide is the killing of head lice by a barber!
  11. Has the person who has it been out caching since (and found caches bigger than a micro?) if so then I'd drop him or her an email, otherwise they probably just haven't had time to go out yet.
  12. Pay if you want to, don't if you don't, as long as if you cancel your membership it isn't just to make a "statement" or a "protest" against anything GC have done, as they won't even notice, and you'll just be cutting your nose off to spite your face (IMHO).
  13. i thought only the owner could archive a cache?? owners or reviewers. If you log a Should be Archived log with your reasoning, the reviewers will be alerted and will archive the cache if they consider it appropriate. if its archived, will i then be able to set my cache?? yes, and your cache would then prevent the archived cache being reactivated at a later date (as it would be < 0.1 miles from your active cache).

  15. Congratulations mega fast time for 500 caches! Nice to hear such a positive thread about caching after reading several recently moaning and complaining... let's all remember the good things about our favourite hobby !
  16. Right, we're in the B&B, hired the bike out the back, just need to attach the GPS mount and go find those caches !!!! Anyone else in Stratford this week for the GIS conference? Ms Chizu is attending while Mr Chizu gets on his bike.
  17. I have a Nokia N82 with Geocache Navigator installed. When you run Navigator, it does the rest for you! That said, I still prefer using our Garmin Etrex legend, as I'm always worried about dropping and breaking my phone! Mr Chizu
  18. haha that's brilliant not seen that one before!
  19. I'd noticed these - is there anywhere good to hire a bike for a day?
